Excellent Service and The food quality was fantastic. The owner is very friendly and truly understands customer service. I would highly recommend! The other customers seemed to be enjoying their experience as well. DK
So happy to have this place in the west end of town! Every time I go I am very satisfied with both food and service. I almost always get combo 2 on rice and the deep fried squid. Only way they could make me happier is if they started serving the crispy ginger beef that they serve at the north location. Food is fresh, fast and reasonably priced. I may just have to go again today!
Authentic Vietnamese food, but more on the sweeter side. Funny how the combo platter and pho soup tasted sweet for my palate. Adequate serving size worth the prize. Nice and clean restaurant feel inside.
I love it. Really consistent food quality. The menu is simple. The counter setup is odd (vs. having servers) but they are so friendly. The service is very good. I really like the north side location. Very happy to have Co Do Hue in my neighborhood.
I frequent the North end Co Do Hue, so I used that as my baseline for my visit to the Meadowlark location. It’s tucked away in a little strip mall north of Jasper Place High School.I had the Bun Bo Hue and was able to sample from what the others in my party had ordered. The Bun Bo Hue was solid, the broth was a tad on the salty side, but I would say comparable to the north end location. Still satisfying! The pork chop rice is essentially identical to the north end one. The pork chops had good lemon grass flavour and was well cooked. The grilled chicken fried rice was not up to snuff compared to the north location. The grilled chicken was overcooked and the fried rice was underwhelming.Overall, portions were generous and the fast-casual style of restaurant is convenient (seating for approx. 30). The staff was friendly and the food came out promptly. A good option for this part of town and hopefully they’ll improve with town.
If it wasn’t for the service, the rate would really be lower. The only thing saving it was the really cute workers that were really nice and courteous. She greeted everyone coming in no matter how busy the front desk was. It’s a sit yourself, while they bring you menu, walking to the front to order and grabbing your own utensils kind is restaurant. They bring you the veggies and also obviously your food. Then you go back up to pay. It’s nice because this way they serve you quick. Literally waited like two minutes for my bun bo hue and iced coffee to come. Here is where the bad rating comes; this is the second shop they’ve opened in the city so far. The soup at the northwest location is bomb, not too salty not too spicy. They’re known for their spicy beef noodle soup. Coming to this one, train wreck. I was skeptical to believe the review before me. But god damn. It’s SO SALTY. I don’t usually down a bottle of water after my soup, but today I did. Keep in mind I also had the the iced coffee to accompany my meal. I hope the owners read the review and take the kink out of it, this would definitely be my go to location for pho otherwise.
I was there eat yesterday. I have spicy beef noodle soup, oh my god it was so salty that I add a whole cup of hot water in the soup. My friend had deep fried squid its was good but if u look closer into the dish there are so much MSG on top of the squid.
