Best breakfast place. The waitress that helped us had a amazing personality – which makes me want to go back. They have breakfast all day – items on their menu are affordable and super filling ! Definitely would go back
Had the eggs benny with beef patties. It was amazing! My medium eggs were poached medium; which never happens!!!! Great hollandaise sauce! Super yummmmm! Will be back!
I really like it when I get to go to breakfast with mommy on Sunday. Daddy likes to go to church so we let him do that and mommy and me like to spend mommy son time together. We always go for breakfast. We like Haps but we do not love it. Mommy likes things that are gooey and sticky…but not greasy. Haps was too greasy.
Yummm! I’m always on the hunt for good eggs Benny and this one passes the test! The hollandaise actually has flavour – unlike a lot of places. The potatoes on the side are yummy too but could use a touch more flavour. I’m impressed! And I’m quite picky.
Haps has been a fixture in the west end for quite a while and yet I never seemed to make it over there for breakfast. The bright clean interior is a great start toward a good experience. The place was packed but the staff bused the tables with startling efficiency and we were seated quickly. The menu is huge. Just about anything you could want for breakfast is on it too. Our drink order was filled and food order taken inside a few minutes of arriving. It didn’t take long for the food to arrive either. The food was as expected. Nothing overly fancy just good solid dishes with all the appropriate flavors as ordered. One thing was a little off – and just a little. The hash browns are obviously prepared ahead of time and in our case seemed to have been sitting a little longer than I would like. Nothing really wrong but they lose a little visual appeal and get a tich dry in the process. All in all, great service, solid food, and quick service made this a good experience.
We were seated instantly, given water and coffee right away, and our server was super quick to come take our order! It was very fast paced but you weren’t pushed to finish your food and go. It was extremely homey and the food was great- the best eggs benny I’ve had thus far and the hunger buster #1 was… overwhelming! I will definitely go back.
Been Going to Hap’s for Almost 10 Years. Hap’s used to be a quick drive from my home when I first moved to Edmonton. I’ve now moved and my family is still going to Hap’s almost 10 years later, regardless of the 25 minute drive it takes us to get there now.I’m not really a big fan of breakfast foods, but Hap’s never ceases to amaze me. It is one of the few places where I’m not shy with trying out different things from the menu each time I go. They are so generous with their food and give tons of it. Their home fries are delicious and if I pick a dish that doesn’t have them, I either order a side or pick them off whoever’s eating with me. If you’re not a big fan of breakfast foods either, they have a great selection on their menu but I do suggest you give it a try anyways. The staff is also always so great and accommodating with substitutions or such. I suggest getting there early on the weekends as I find it gets very packed around noon and there ends up being a wait (but it is so worth it).
