Wow.. EXPENSIVE for PASTA..$24 for spaghetti bolognese! I used to like this strip mall place for its quaint atmosphere but did not expect those kind of high end restaurant prices, even for a small tomato/artichoke salad -$15..
The service was great but the food is the furthest thing from traditional Italian food. It’s a watered down version of Italian food bland and boring.
The company was great!!! A Shame the food wasn’t. Tired and old atmosphere, slow service, and less than flavorful dishes that are overpriced. Dishes arrived only warm. Disappointing stop.
Terrible service; owner blamed it on lack of staff. No excuse. Would not go back.
No Service At All. Arrived at Il Forno for a 7:30pm (Saturday) reservation with my wife and son. Eating at an Italian family-owned restaurant is something that we were looking forward to. We had eaten there before and enjoyed our experience so we wanted to come back.Restaurant was busy so we waited patiently for our table to be prepared.15 minutes later, we were seated to our table. A family of four was seated to the table right next to ours. The family of four were greeted by their waitress, drink orders were taken, drinks were served while we were still waiting for our waitress to greet us.Another 15 mins later, having received no attention what-so-ever, my wife & I decided to leave. A waitress (not sure if she was supposed to be serving us) comes over to our table, grabs the empty wine glasses and I think realizes that we haven’t even been served. She says ‘hi’, we say no-one has come over to serve us and that we’ve decided to leave. She simply says okay and begins to clear the table. So instead of asking or even trying to change our minds, she simply says okay. The feeling that my wife & I got was that we were an imposition to them; that we were not welcomed. So we politely and quietly left the restaurant. We have also politely and not so quietly decided to share our story and not provide any further business to this restaurant.
Wonderful!. Had a delightful dinner with my sisters to celebrate their birthdays. The food was fresh, abundant and delicious. The calamari was 10/10. Even better than the food was the warm, personal service from Sofia. Can’t remember the last time I enjoyed an evening out more. This was my first time here, but will not be my last!
Wasted Saturday. Saturday night with a party of 8 was very disappointing. A) Wine glass was removed from a lady without being asked if she wanted any, B) food order was taken from 2men before asking the ladies. C) very limited menu. If you didn’t like pizza or pasta you had a very small selection. D) the calamari that we had for an appetizer was very rubbery and under seasoned. The mussels were served with a VERY spicy sauce. There was a long wait between appetizers and main course and found the prices to be a little high. Will probably not go again. Thanks
