I ordered food through just-eat.ca. The website said, the food will be delivered in 45 min. I called the restaurant and they said it will be 1.5 hours as they were busy. I patiently waited and the food never came. Called again, and the owner ( or whoever picked up the phone) said, they cannot give me a time, they are just busy and asked me to cancel the order if I want to.One thing for sure – I’d certainly not order there again. Rude owner.

So disappointed. This used to be one of my favourite places before ownership changed over. Their wraps used to be a great on the go meal. I recently had their butter chicken wrap. There was absolutely NO sauce and 3 small chunks of chicken. It was essentially a wrap with rice and a few peas and carrots in it. Not to mention the chai latte that I was unable to drink because it was obnoxiously sweet. Sadly, that will be the last visit there.

My rating is based on food and food only. A bit of a langauge barrier, but in a multicultural country I’m cool with that. Water that was served with supper as warm, no ice. Also okay with that, it’s winter after all. We had two different types of naan, both acceptable. Chicken Tikka masala, lamb masala, muttar paneer, bindi masala and saffron rice and 4 chai teas. Plenty of food for 4 people. Nicely spiced but we weren’t asked (and never considered asking) how hot we wanted our meals. It got a little busy and we were never asked if we were interested in a after meal sweet. Again, cool with that too. Great meal for 84.00. I will eat here again and would recommend trying at least once.

Is it possible for an eatery to get better and better? Namaste consistently does. Our family’s go to Indian eatery has the best paneer dishes in the Edmonton area.

How does my Favorite Place to eat in Edmonton have a 2.8 Rating prior to me writing this? What is wrong with people?! Do people not know good Indian Food? Have they eaten here? I think not. I’ve been going here faithfully since the change from the old owners. The menu is much larger, and having tried many things, I can honestly say it is the best Indian Food in Edmonton, and the best place to Eat. The Benchmark of ‘western’ Indian Cuisine, Butter Chicken, is impeccable. The actual spices put into the Sauce can be tasted. It can’t be from a bottle. And the chicken used isn’t some copout chicken thigh that other places use. Chicken Breast. You can see it in the bowl. During one trip, there was Butter Chicken Poutine. Sub out Gravy, for the Butter Chicken, add cheese, and fries. Amazing. It sounds horrid, I understand. But it was really really good. There’s 4 different types of Naan. Coconut (borderline dessert), Butter, Basil Garlic, and Aloo (stuffed with a potato mixture). In an actual Tandoor. Divine. And I don’t toss around words like ‘Divine’ lightly. I’m a big fan of their Vindaloo. It’s spicy. They don’t play. If they say ‘Do you like spicey?’, then get ready for War. Got the Beef Vindaloo and it was a Juggarnaut. It was so good, I had tears…from the heat. Multiple kinds of Rice (1 order is more than enough for two people). Multiple kinds of Tikka Masala. All are terrific. I got a Kashmiri Chai Milkshake during one visit. I’ve never once in my life had a better milkshake. It was so smooth, and packed with such great flavors. I wanted one to go. Portions are large. Really large. Yes, some things are a little pricey. But consider both the portion size, and the delicious taste of the food. Go. You will not be disappointed. It is my favorite place to eat in town. I can’t stress enough for great it is. How it’s got a 2.8 rating is insanity.

Great food, great price. The staff is always extremely friendly. The location is right by my school, and everyone at my campus loves eating here. If you haven’t eaten here, you need to try it!

Excellent food and friendly staff. This location has had other restaurants in the past and I am sure limited parking a issue but its no big deal to park close and walk in. I hope this Namaste India stays in west end for good !
