Probably the worst ice cream shop experience I’ve had. Was really looking forward to trying out this place. Unfortunately the man working was incredibly rude and seemed to be irritated by the fact that we were even in there trying to give him business. We wanted to order some cheese sticks before ice cream, to which he sharply replied ‘NO.’ We thought maybe he was trying to make a joke as his response was so short and lacking info, but the following smile never came. It was not a joke. So then we had to ask why we couldn’t have cheese sticks, to which he replied ‘SOLD OUT….. next customer’ without even giving us the opportunity to order something else. I didn’t have the patience to get back in line or put up a fuss, given this kind of terrible service. I’ve never felt more unwelcome in an ice cream shop. Couldn’t say how the ice cream is as we didn’t get that far, but I won’t be finding out.
It’s really too bad…. This place has SO much potential. Great location, great idea but it needs to clean up it’s act. I took my daughter and 2 grandsons for cones. The ice cream tasted like freezer and the cone was stale 🙁 Should have just lit a match to that $10 bill.
Pa Peterson’s is by no means the highest quality. Yes, it’s small, dirty looking and hasn’t changed since most of us went to the high schools right across the street. Yes, the poutine is made with the wrong cheese and the burgers are not made on site… BUT for some reason I crave it. A double mushroom burger with poutine and Pepsi slush… I can taste it already! It’s comfort food. Period.
Pa’s was horrible. Disgusting food! I ordered burgers and fries for me and a friend; the burgers were gross and fries had hair in the gravy. The owner was very rude about it and tried to say it was my hair when I didn’t even touch the food yet. I demanded a refund and he said he could only give us 2 dollars back because he didn’t want to lose money. The customers behind me immediately left the line due to how the manager handled the situation.
Was cheap and very disappointing. Milkshakes were okay, burgers were crap, premade, frozen patties and the poutine used nacho cheese sauce. Considering the 95% approval rating I really expected more than the worst burger and fries I’ve had in recent memory.
The only restaurant I know immune to inflation. It’s been feeding broke ass students for years, and even haunts their dreams. The fries and gravy is the staple of anyone within 4 blocks of this restaurant. I believe it may be made of crushed ambrosia.
Good icecream. 42 flavours or something like that! neat little ice cream shop, with different types of candies, hard ice cream, frozen yogurt, fries and such, and character ice cream bars…. Good variety of sweets. It isn’t a fancy place, and it’s tiny, but that’s why it’s a preffered of mine, as it’s different and (probably local?).
