We’ve been coming here for 6+ years. The service is bad, always has been. We were there for breakfast today. The server was bad. Sooooo slow. What really shed a light on things for us today was seeing the manager take care of a table that apparently belonged to this sever and then force her to take the tip that was left, even as the server argued she didn’t earn it. I guess the leadership is quite happy with the way things are…. High prices for mediocre food and bad service. Don’t expect a special, fine dining experience, even at these prices.
Oops review meant for Crazyweed in Canmore. Fireweed may be a victim of it’s own success. It’s fairly busy so plan for a long meal, however I have always been impressed with the food. I am always searching for a good osso bucco and they nailed it. Wow what a delicious meal. I hope they can maintain their quality.
Decent service for a long weekend. Mediocre overpriced food. Don’t expect much from this place.
Fish over cooked, lamb undercooked. Calamari mostly just batter. Had a good malbec that was reasonably priced. Wouldn’t go back.

Dramatically Declining. I have eaten a number of times at the Fireweed Grill at the Kananaskis area and the last 2 times we have gone, have been utterly disappointed with all aspects of our meals/snacks. The last time we arrived we were just dropping in for a Cob Salad and some french fries after a hike with our kids. The service was horrible. Took too long, had 3 different (all terrible) servers. It took 35 minutes to get a plate of fries and a salad delivered. The fries were a lifeless deep fried bowl of dirt. The salad was almost as bad except that the only thing that saved it was the ingredients were atleast fresh. We ordered ice teas for the kids, and beers for us. The screwed up the wifes beer. She had asked for a Beer with a side of Clamato juice… she got tomato. It takes a special kind of stupid to mess that up when its a dead restaurant.For what turned out to be a very expensive bag of crap for lunch, avoid at all cost. They do not hire quality staff or chefs to warrant the cost. We will never return and actively tell others the same.
Unless you’re choosing the buffet, expect to wait at least 90 minutes or more for your meal to arrive. The food is good, but you will wait.
