Been our go-to place for years! Food is always consistent and when they accidentally forgot something with our order we picked up, they called us and the guy drove it over to our house (which is not in Evanston) – was very impressed!

I have come here several times and always forget to write a review! Their dinner specials for 2 and their bento box lunch specials are always tasty and plentiful. We came here again last night and it was full for a random Thursday evening. We snagged one of the last tables and even though the place was busy, service was on point. We ordered several dishes this time: chicken teriyaki and rice, seafood tempura, spicy salmon cones and the sushi combo b. Wow we were full by the end of it! The chicken teriyaki was huge and enough to feed 3 people. The sauce was not overpowering and the chicken was cooked wellI liked the crispy skin on top. I usually order shrimp tempura but I think my new favorite is the seafood tempurait had crab sticks, 2 types of fish and shrimp. The spicy salmon cones were the best, honestly I think the best Ive had in Calgary thus farand tasted exactly like what I ate when travelling Japan. The sushi combo b was fresh and the rolls were large. I really enjoy this restaurant and the amount of food you get plus the quality is well worth the money.

This is a very peaceful neighbourhood restaurant with very friendly service and clean decor. I ordered the Vegetable Ramen which came with a side of sashimi! Great value for only $9. The broth was delicate and flavoured beautifully. The soup could’ve used more than one piece of sweet potato in it though. The sashimi was fresh and sliced very thin. I wish they had more selections on the menu. They don’t even offer beef tataki or pork ramen Overall is was nice but not outstanding.

Amazing Rainbow, Caterpillar, dragon eye and tiger roll! Such great flavours and the fish was fresh. The tempura was nice and crispy and light and delicious.

Good variety of items on the menu and decent price. However, the service was very disappointing. The server and waitress seem to be son and mother. At first they were nice and attentive but towards the end they were dismissive and rude. They asked me three times if I was finished and we had only been eating for 30 minutes. The restaurant was not busy there were only a few tables on one side. As I handed the server my card they didn’t even look at me or say thank you and just gave out their hand to take my card. Extremely rude and definitely will not return.

Love this place! Staff is great, prices are reasonable and sashimi is amazing 🙂 no complaints. The spicy salmon roll is my favourite, dynamite roll is good too.

Updated : march 2017We came for a quick meal and we’re still really disappointed. We will not return. The gyoza was incredibly oily, it definitely required being wiped off on a napkin. The udon was bland and yet very sweet from the beef. The ramen was bland as well. In both dishes the noodles were very overcooked and soft, as were the vegetables. Really disappointing. We came here with another couple for dinner. The servers were friendly and the food came out fast ! We shared a bunch of different rolls and sashimi and all tasted great. I can’t say any stuck out for me overall pretty basic. My problem is the price. They are so expensive !!! We easily finished over $150 worth of sushi without feeling very full at the end.
