While we usually go to the deerfoot mall location for our Chinese buffet fix, we decided to try asian buffet.i drove all the way from the north side of city to try it.what a mistake..while the layout is nice, the food quality is absolutely horrible.. they might as well put MSG salt licks at every table as that is all we could taste.. the food is flavorless and packed with MSG. I will never go here again..the chicken wings were the best thing on the hot table..ice cream variety was good as well, but not worth the $40 for 2 people..also, whats with the worker cleaning baby chairs and other things by the buffet tables and Mongolian grill??that should be done in the kitchen out from a customers view. Be careful when its time to pay, go with cash as the credit card/debit machine forces customers to leave a percentage tip as opposed to a dollar amount..
On Friday, February 15, 2019 I stopped by the New Dynasty Buffet-Restaurant on Crowfoot. NW. Calgary, and tried the lunch-buffet.The restaurant: is nice, spacious and clean. The service was ok. However, the food selection was extremely limited. I ve been in several buffets around Calgary, a couple in Airdrie and the one in Cochrane, and every single restaurant offers some type of sea food and fish. At the New Dynasty , it was only beef and Chicken. I know the offer a better selection at dinner and for an additional cost, but in general, the food selection is really basic.It is a decent place for an emergency last minute lunch. for an average price.
I arrived at 8:15pm last night, all the food in the buffet was old and rock hard. I needed pliers to cut it. I complained to the Manager, we even showed him how old the food was on the buffet. Manager Allen agrees and says he will discount our dinner. When it comes time to pay Manager Allen refused to do what he said. I use to be a loyal customer 10plus years, I would even bring work functions…..Now I wouldnt even bring the food home to my dogs. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone anymore. If I could rate this location it would be negative 5 stars.Go to China Rose instead, you wont be let down!!!
This is a large buffet with everything from dim sum to sushi, and even some western faves for the kids. At night they have better items for a larger price tag, including (soggy) crab legs that are super hard to eat, because theyre soggy. Be warned, this joint is very hit or miss. Some days are amazing, and all my favourites are fresh and delicious. Other days, its disgusting. I recommend spending most of your time at the dim sum stations.

The restaurant is spacious inside and the service is friendly. The prices for the food is reasonable and there is an all you can eat buffet. There are various dishes of Asian cuisine in the buffet and the food is delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant is friendly. There is Japanese and Chinese cuisine. There is also bubble tea that can be ordered and the inside of the restaurant looks alright.
It’s a solid 3. Food is decent; not amazing but we like it none the less. We will definitely go back, mainly for lunch, cause the lunch weekday price is reasonable for what you get.
