Attended Blu Seafood to use a number of gift certificates obtained a few years ago during a Calgary Sun promotion. Turns out the business has changed hands and the new owner won’t honor his liability to the full value of the certificates, offering only the amount originally paid. Given that the margins at this place are so high, and therefore the prices, the value simply isn’t there. Rather than take the opportunity to provide a goodwill gesture to customers, the owner chose to put his customers between himself and the former owner and, in the process, prove a poor business model in foregoing repeat business.We won’t be back and will absolutely share our experience including warning people against the high prices and poor customer service attitude.

Scaley. Hello, I bought my lb of mussels and my lb of spring salmon…and the salmon skin was inedible because all the scales were still on it. Deeply disappointed.
Love it. Not only is the fish and seafood fresh, the staff is extremely friendly. I recommend Blu to everyone I know.
The Only Place for Seafood. I travel all the way from the far northwest to pick up seafood from Blu’s, as their fish is the freshest in town. Amazing black cod and snapper. Never disappointed.
