We came here for a friend bday party, luckily the host of the party was able to get a reservation for 15 ppl on a very busy saturday night while a ufc fight and hockey games were on . It’s your average neighborhood pub, ok food and drinks. Service was good for a big group of us.
I like the atmosphere in Limericks. Maybe it’s just because it used to be my neighbourhood pub (by a different name) back a couple of decades when I lived in Kingsland. It any case, the environment isn’t completely dark and it wasn’t overly noisy. Our waitress took care of us well. We didn’t eat much, just a couple of appetizers, but both the potato skins and the stuffed yorkies were reasonable. The menu has all of your standard pub grub. I’ll have to come back again when the group is a little more hungry and try some of the other menu items. It’s not a bad place to stop off and meet some friends or to relax a bit if you’re heading South after Chinooking too much.
Have been here a few times for wind night. Their wings are very good, if you are able to get the flavor you want. There have been a couple occasions where I will go to order a certain flavor, only to find out that they have run out for the night, which I wasn’t very impressed with, but oh well. Their patio is nice to sit on during the summer months. Their stuffed yorkshires are very tasty, the beef is nicely cooked, yorkshire isn’t too dense and the horseradish has a great taste to it. While their chicken and leek boxty tasted good, it was a bit too sweet for me, I would have preferred it to be more savory, which is what I thought I was getting when I ordered. Wait staff is very hit and miss, sometimes they are great, other times you wonder if they just quit and went home for the night.
I’m not sure why, but our experience wasn’t all that great. End of lunch rush and it was still busy. We didn’t see a server for at least 10 minutes and another 10 minutes went by before we got our drinks. Was only planning on ordering some wings and nachos, but the food looked so good, we ended up ordering full meals. Disappointed that my angry chicken was overcooked. The chicken was hard and chewy and just didn’t seem right. I ordered fries, so I was hoping to get actual French fries, like the ones I saw on the plates at the table beside ours, but instead I got tiny fry scraps, like the ones you find at the bottom of a bag. Server barely came around. She seemed very inexperienced, but not overwhelmed. I’ll probably just stick to the beer next time….
Amazing chicken wings! Awesome beer selection! Great place to catch a flames game. Service wasn’t the best but wasn’t bad either. Definitely worth checking if you like Irish pubs!
This place has a great ambiance for a old style pub. We were there for a bday and staff did a good job of getting our orders considering how many of us there were. The platters had Yorkies, home chips, wings, ribs, tortilla chips, nachos and tater skins. All were good. I’m not a big bar goer but the food was solid and prices were reasonable too.
We’ve been here a couple of times now and if you’re looking for a decent pub with decent pub food, this place is ideal. Their drinks menu is massive with a ton of international beers. They also have some good specials going (half price bottles of wine for all of February!). The food itself was really good too. Our server was really quick for our table of 7 people. Worth checking out if you’re in this area of town and want a good old fashioned pub!
