Craving some good authentic Korean is answered at Migarock. The space is indeed big with a lot of seating, and the ability to hot pot, barbecue, or order standard dishes. Our visit was great with service being fast and with a huge smile, we were able to enjoy our meal easily. Going off memory of what we had yesterday was:Glass noodle and beef bulgogi, which was awesome with portions big enough to eat for leftovers.Stone bowl of Korean fried rice, also a great item which remains hot through your entire stay.Sides of kimchi, blanched bean sprouts, garlic potatoes, bean curd strips. It’s all about the sides, and if you are a buffet kinda person who like variety, Korean is the way to go with lots to choose from. Now the tea was the real sleeper hit, as I wasn’t expecting to drink the entire pot of tea. It’s got a taste similar to a chocolatey malt but super light. Love this place.

Migarock is my go to place for Korean food, I go atleast twice a month. I heard they’ve changed management recently and although they haven’t changed the menu, their portions are slowly getting smaller! I’ve tried everything in their menu but my most fave is their katsu don, sauce is awesome! But like I said, portion is just getting smaller and smaller! I used to be satisfied with just an order of katsudon but now I have to get extra rice (they used to give two scoops of rice) and order something else because their breaded pork just gets thinner and smaller everytime!! Very disappointing, since it is my fave in Migarock :(Hopefully they take note of this and revert back to their old ways.

The chicken bolgogi came out over grilled with thick cancer causing burns (see photo). The waitress said that it was the way it should be, and that I was supposed to say beforehand if I did not want the burns. So l left the food alone, paid the bill, and left with a hungry stomach, better that than swallowing cancer causing char. The restaurant was 90% empty on this Sunday afternoon (see photo), I guess their lay-back services and their food are the reasons.

Great big open space, very friendly staff and delicious food ! We did the combo for 4 with spicy seafood hot pot and Korean BBQ. Everything was delicious. The broth, veggies and seafood in the hot pot were delicious ! The mixed Korean BBQ was great – pork ribs, beef rib, bulgogi and spicy chicken (cooked to perfection). The meal came with seafood pancake- I am never a fan of it (I find it very heavy) but worked good as leftovers for the next day. My only complaint was the tea- the tea tasted like boiled leftover Kraft dinner water. Blah. Overall I will be going back !!! It was a treat. A Korean market is right next door so we stocked up on necessities after (rice & candy)

This is one of the best Korean restaurants in Calgary. Their food is always fresh and tasty. The serving sizes are generous yet the prices are very reasonable. Since they have gone under new management I find that I’m always greeted and seated right away. The overall service is very friendly and prompt.

I was taking my course nearby this place and noticed that this restaurant is now under new management so I went in there during weekday lunch time for one of their lunch box specials. I had spicy pork box and it was absolutely amazing! Pork was very tender and all side dishes were fantastic. Restaurant gets pretty chilly during winter times so if you are bringing children, make sure to bring extra jacket for them. I will definitely come back here.

One of the best place in Calgary for authentic Korean food with the best service! I ordered the tofu soup (which contains a lot of seafood, heads up for everyone with allergies) and the beef rib bibimbap. Both of which came out smoking hot. Definitely recommend.
