Our meal was excellent ..the best naan bread ! Our waitress was amazing ! Neg…our wait time….because of slow kitchenNEGATIVE- Upon observation ..people who are waiting for pick up orders should be complimented with something when they have to wait a long time for their food! Owners need to step it up and they would be packed all the time!
We are vegan and order their Malai Kofta and Vegetable Manchurian all the time. We have gone to about 15 indian places in Calgary, and believe this place has the best flavor and quantity of these two dishes.
This is my favourite Indian restaurant in Calgary. I have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. Everything is made fresh, by hand, no shortcuts. Lots of menu options and the flavours are delicious.
Surahi is good restaurant for a nice fix of Indian flavour. We went there for a quick meal and enjoyed the butter chicken and the aloo gobi. Simple but tasty, with some really good coconut basmati rice and garlic naan to round out the meal.The decor is pretty, the interior clean and roomy, the music is not too loud and the service is friendly and attentive.
I was pleasantly surprised by the food here. My complaints were that it did take a long time to get the food and the young girl who seated us and took our order was extremely rude. The person who actually brought us the food was named Mike, he made up for her rudeness. We ordered the chicken vindaloo, chicken masala and garlic nan bread and it was all delicious. We will eat here again.
Came here at 07:15 PM and food came at 08:15 PM. Food took way to long to come to our table, but it was good. Not a big recommendation though.
