Finally we are here, but we were told they didnt really do tapas anymore. They changed menu about two years ago. So majority of the dishes people recommended here are no longer on the menu. We ordered baked goat cheese for starter, it was ok. I ordered braised beef and hubby ordered salmon with risotto underneath. Both are delicious, beef was braised and seasoned very well, only thing I didnt like was the creamy mashed potato under beef, the texture of potato reminded me of the instant potato powder. And generally speaking, salmon with risotto was more impressive. Lemon tart was mediocre. Very nice decor due to also the architecture itself, very good service, a little bit pricy. There were happy hour drinks, and some cold seafood dishes were on special, we were not in a mood for cold seafood dishes though.

We were recommended by a friend for a nice dinner out in the SW and we absolutely fell in love with the servers, food and ambiance. Our first diner we had the carnivore meal and couldn’t believe how delicious the steak’s were. We then discovered the Happy Hour seafood bar and that is now our new go to. We order amazing seafood and well priced wine before 6 and always leave happy and satisfied. Completely recommend this Bistro, even for a quick snack and drink after work, the Happy Hour is very affordable and amazing.

Went there for their raw bar happy hour. Nice environment, Good service. Love the scallop crudo and tuna tartare.Had tried a few different items from the dinner menu at previous time.Crab stuffed avocado salad – canned crab meat, lack of flavor. Should take it off the menu.Steak frites – grilled bottom sirloin, medium rare as ordered, but could use a little bit more salt.Roasted marrow bone – fatty in a good way, seasoned well.

Tango bistro is an excellent hidden gem in Calgary that many people don’t seem to know about. It is on the pricier side but the quality is excellent and they have a beautiful variety with frequent enough rotation that it doesn’t get boring. Unfortunately, in my opinion, Tango was much better when it was a Tapas bar. The restaurant was forced to offer a restaurant style menu due to a lack of interest when Tapas went out of style. However, I can tell that it has brought the business success and the seats are much more full as a result.

Service is excellent, which is a rarity for Calgary restaurants, so that’s a good start. Coupled with very reasonable prices and a decent wine menu, along with solid specials virtually every night of the week, Tango is definitely working hard to keep people happy. The food is generally very tasty and there is a broad selection without an overcrowded menu. Desserts are a cut above for Calgary, so if you are a fan of sweets you will certainly want to save room. My only real complaint is that certain menu items might be a little tooambitious for the kitchen. While steaks are al;ways perfectly cookedtheir fish dishes aregenerallyovercooked and certain raw bar items and appys would benefit from cutting down on the sauces/herbs/spices. Still, nothing to dissuade me from going there again or recommending to others. 3.5/5.

Hubby and i came here for date night Friday and we were really impressed. We made a reservation and got sat a nice booth facing the bar & fireplace. The server, Riley was fantastic! Super friendly and checked on us constantly. We ordered a bunch if stuff to share. We started with seared scallops and the waitress asked if we wanted to add an extra scallop so we could have 2 each. Their were cooked perfectly and the mushroom sauce was delicious. We also got complimentary bread and butter to start. For our main we got the crab stuffed avocado salad, there was a generous amount of crab meat and the dijon herb vingarette was nicely dressed on the salad. The pot au feu came with a roasted bone marrow and a pot of veggies and brisket. The brisket was nice, soft and flavorful. Recommend some chimmichurri on the meat. We finished off with dessert- we didn’t want to share that… I got vanilla bean creme brulee and hubby got key lime pie. It was one of the best meals we have had in along time and definitely will be back. It’s not cheap so it’s good to come here for a special occasion. We will definitely be back!
