We’ve been coming here for years. The food is delicious and the people are so wonderful and friendly. The only negative thing I can say is watching how the plate sizes got smaller and the prices got much higher over the years (and as they developed in popularity). It use to be a very affordable option.
We came here quite awhile ago, but they good here is pretty good. It was a little on the expensive side for sure, but the food was quality and the service was pretty good.
Really enjoyed the food here, service was great (although it was close to closing on a weekday evening). The curry here was one of my boyfriend’s favourites in Calgary. Also liked the sate chicken skewers to start. Atmosphere is cute, it has a lot of fancy wood work and almost feels like you’re on vacation. I live close by so I will definitely be back.
First of all, the food here is AMAZING. The servers are all nice, but it can be hit and miss depending who is serving you. I went in with a larger group recently and we had to wait forever for our order to be taken, then for our food, then for the bill. I think as they gain popularity and get busier the service has slipped. Prices have also gone up.
Managed to get in on NYE without a reservation – nice decor, friendly staff. The chicken satay was tasty, though the sauce was a bit floury. Tried two dishes I’d never had before, the Crying Tiger (which was too sweet for my liking, and not rare enough for my wife’s) and the Pla Choo Chee (crispy fried fish in red curry sauce, which was the best of the dishes we had). The mas sa man, which we chose with beef, I also found disappointing taste-wise (the sauce was alright, but not as good as Spicy Hut, and the beef was tasteless), and texture-wise (again, the beef was thin and tough, and the whole peanuts were interesting but not a real winner). Oh, not to forget the coconut rice, which, as most everything else, was just okay. I don’t know that I would return by choice, but of circumstance dictated, I’d probably try sticking with the colourful curries, and opting for the chicken or tofu.
Small serving. Ordered cashew chicken with steamed rice take out from here for first time. Serving was pathetically small for $12.00. I won’t be back.
