Definitely worth trying! I have been there for many times. Wont feel homesick eating there for authentic Chinese food! Excellent service and a cozy place!
I’ve discovered Bill’s last year and enjoy the dim sum! I love how it is in the south too. I use to go downtown for dim sum, but not anymore. Bill’s dim sum has friendly staff as mentioned below, but in my opinion and from my family of 10 that normally come, WE LOVE THE FOOD! All of us recommend this place.
2018.02.13. before the valentines day, my boyfriend took me to Bills Peking House for dinner. It is a local Chinese restaurant and the most famous dish serves in this place such as egg foo yong & Peking duck. It was our first time having dinner at this restaurant.Environment:We arrived restaurant around 4:30 pm right after my work before the dinner time. The restaurant was just open. The restaurant was on the second floor of the building. It was empty inside. We grabbed a seat directly when we walked into the restaurant. Inside the restaurant, there are many tables. Most of them were a table for four people. The whole environment was very organized, nice and clean.Service:After we sat down, the server brought the food menu to our table and began to serve us drink. Our table server is a Chinese lady. She is very nice and friendly.Food:After looking at the menu, we decided what to order for the dinner. We had Peking Duck 3 courses and starter platters. The starter platters include Sesame shrimp toast, Dumplings and salt & pepper ribs. Peking Duck 3 courses, which includes Wraps, Soup & Choice of fried rice, chow mein, and bean sprouts. All the food came out with large portions. They were all well cooked and very tasty.Prices:The prices of food were OK. Comparing with other Chinese Restaurants, its very cheap.In summary, we enjoyed our dinner at Bills Peking House. Besides the dinner menu, this restaurant also offers Dim Sum for breakfast. Despite the good reviews, I do not recommend this place. When we first arrived, we were really excited to see the amount of people sitting down and waiting for tables. You would think that that’s a good sign. However once we got seated, everything felt rushed. Food came out and it was clear that the chef just threw it together. Literally. We ordered xiao long baos, only to be presented with ripped dumpling skin and no juice left. No vinegar was provided either. The scallop and shrimp dumplings had tobiko thrown on the sides. It was wet and mushy and definitely overcooked. Bbq rice rolls were doughly and wrapped with little to really fatty pieces of meat. When we told the server she just smiled and nothing was done. She was too busy to care. At almost 5.75-6.25 a dish, it is not worth it.
Great food, got the dinner for two and a wonton soup to split. Large portions amazing veggie dishes and the wonton soup was delicious! 2nd visit and will be back
I’ve been coming to Bill’s for many years now. Every time I come, the food is always excellent, and the service is good too. Good food, good value. Once in a while, I order a dish that I’m not crazy about, but the quality of the food always good. Recently, I have ordered from nearby competitors, but frankly they aren’t anywhere near as good.
