Have eaten here 3 times now and each time the food and the service was great. Good portions, best Ginger beef I have ever had anywhere and everyone in all of my groups were very pleased with the food. Restaurant is a bit small and always full of diners when I have been there. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and would eat there again!

Overpriced and flavoured with a bunch of msg. The msg was the only pleasant part of our meal. Our family went for dinner because of an ad they had in the Chinese newspaper.Upon arriving and notifying them of the ad, they gave a BS excuse the ad was printed wrong and they were not going to honor it. This bait and switch tactic seems to match what some other reviewers have experienced. From reading other reviews, they seem to have been running this adobe enough for it to be a ‘mistake’.Unfortunately, we still decided to stay. The dishes were small, expensive, and bland, except for the msg. My nephew, who usually eats more than me, only ate rice and soy sauce because he did not like any of the dishes. As for myself, I was hungry shortly after dinner cause I didn’t eat enough because I had no desire to eat any of the uninspired dishes they brought out. Some thoughts on the food:Cold plate – soft, chewy jellyfish that had no crunch. The cha siu had a thick coat of sugar glaze on the outside. It was like chewing on a piece of taffyChicken with ginger – the chicken looked and tasted like it was precooked/old and sat in the fridge for a day. They gave the largest side dish of ginger I’ve ever seen at a Chinese restaurant. Youll need a lot of it to mask the taste of the old chickenFried fish – more batter than fishLobster – small and bland. Also, why is the tank it’s kept in so cloudy? There are much better Chinese restaurants in Edmonton that deserve your money and do not use such scummy tactics to bring you in. I cannot recommend that anyone visit this place.

Staff was very nice and eager to please. Ordered the shrimp dumplings, pork dumplings and Japanese dumplings. Japanese dumplings were a little watery. They have other lunch specials I will try next time.

This is not the best place for dim sum. I went there once and their selection is very limited. I saw them on the newspaper once and it looks like they expanded their dim sum menu but still not as big as others. Also, it’s by-order not push-cart dim sum style. I also didn’t find their dim sum impressive in terms of taste and flavour. It’s just mediocre…I went for dinner last night and got the set dinner for 2 for $38.88. It comes with 2 dishes of your choice, soup, a bucket of rice, and dessert soup. The soup that we had was tofu seafood soup. Tasted great. It’s different from the Chinese soups we usually get with set dinners at other Chinese restaurants. It had more fillings and is of thicker consistency. For our two dishes, we got curry beef & tendons but they mistaken our order and gave us something else. I’m not sure exactly what it’s called. It also had beef and tendons but was not curry. The second dish that we got was deep fried shrimps with peach and mayo sauce. Both dishes were good. I liked how the shrimp dish wasn’t too sweet and had an equal amount of peaches and shrimp. The beef & tendon dish was a little too salty for me… I couldn’t eat too much of it.Our meal ended with dessert soup.. don’t know how to call it in English and forgot to take pics :(Service was good. Very prompt and food came out fast.

Very bland. We didn’t even eat the left-overs which is unheard of around our house. The prices and the portions were fair, but the food was tasteless. We won’t be returning.

I saw that this places just opened up by where I live so I decided to try it out. My mother and I went on a Friday around 3, the place was empty but there were a lot of tables reserved for the dinner services. They have quite large menu however that doesn’t bother me one bit! They also have the option for you to order some dim sum items all day. We ended up ordering the dinner for two which comes with a choice of wonton soup or hot & sour, veggie spring rolls, chicken fried rices, and the you pick two dishes of your choosing from the menu. We decided to choose beef with veggies and a seafood dish. The waiters started bring out our plates and wow where the portions ever huge! Everything we had was delicious (other then the veggie spring rolls)! Also I decided to try the mango homemade pudding, it was so delicious we decided to take two home! I will for sure be coming back to this place sometime soon!
