People come here in search of bbt. It’s not here. The food options are not bad though. They got chicken balls and a good curry chicken dish and another dish that was a beef dish on rice and vegetables. Service was pretty damn slow especially since we were the only people there. But the fried food made up for it.Sal says: Just try it (3/5)

I went here last night for a late night snack at around 10:45pm. My friend and I came in for drinks and dessert so we ended up getting a mango smoothie and a chocolate egg waffle to share. The mango smoothie bubble tea tasted so artificial it reminded me of dream tea. I wasn’t expecting much to be honest since I heard so many negative reviews about this place. As for the egg waffle, it literally took 15-20mins of waiting to receive a plain egg waffle dusted with powdered sugar. The egg waffles cost around $7.50 each and that is hella pricey for what you get. It tasted okay, but nothing spectacular. Honestly, I would skip this place, there are better bubble tea and food places around. Everything is mediocre for what you get.

I love the place. It is a weekend must go for my group of friends. Staffis friendly and food is delicious. I like how they are different from other bubble tea chains, they have authentic Taiwanese snacks and great smoothies!

I’ve been here three times; first was on their opening weekend where we only ordered drinks. On my second visit we wanted to try their food but they didn’t have most of it as they just opened, so we got the Thai shaved snow which was pretty good but a little too sweet. On my most recent visit, we tried the matcha ice flakes bowl, Taiwanese 9 inch chicken, and two drinks. The matcha shaved snow ($9.95) tasted good but it was supposed to have mint panna cotta and red bean but it was missing the panna cotta so I found it overpriced for what it is. The Taiwanese 9 inch chicken ($8.95) was really bad. Other places started selling the Taiwanese fried chicken and I expected theirs to be a 9 inch chicken cutlet but no haha it was more like? cut up chicken strips on a plate??? It didn’t taste good either, it had a certain flavour that I didn’t really like. I got oolong tea milk foam ($4.95) and while the milk foam was good, the oolong tea was BLAND and it was just pure tea.. not sweetened at all which is odd because I’ve had tea milk foam/milk cap at other bbt places and never was the tea unsweetened. But it may be preferred by some people so I can only speak for myself. Earl gray milk tea ($5.25) was really strong and you can really taste the earl gray. I don’t know if the tea is brewed or if it’s powder, but if it’s brewed it tasted like the tea bag was steeped for a really long time. Some people might like that but I didn’t enjoy such a strong earl gray flavour.I wanted to try Quickly again as I havent been there since their first month of opening, but it looks like I didn’t miss out on much. I highly doubt I’d return again..

My experience at quickly is extremely disappointing every time I come. I’ve been here few times hoping that they have improved but they are so slow, painfully slow. Their name is deceiving. I highly recommend them consider changing their name.

Service was slow (30 minutes for drinks). It seems like the take out customers got their orders filled before the sit in customers. Staffing seems disorganized…only one person serving the tables. If you plan to sit in to eat or have drinks, be prepared to wait a while. I give 1.5 stars cause the milk tea bubble tea tasted good. Overall, very frustrating experience (and it was evident that other customers felt the same cause we weren’t the only ones that complained about the slow service).

Second time here and trying different drink/foods. Sadly, this experience was disappointing. We asked if they had fresh fruit drinks and was told the mango smoothie was made with fresh fruit -nope.. consisted of primarily powdered mango slush faintly flavored with yogurt. The coffin toast with creamy chicken looked promising, but the nearly opaque soup (not stew) with 4 overcooked bites of chicken breast and a few chunks of veges and potato in a hollowed out barely toasted laid of white bread.. definitely fell flat. The braise pork rice dish salvaged the night.. the pork was quite dry, but there was some sauce reminiscent of Chinese traditional beef stews as it had a hit of cinnamon and star anise in it. Quickly’s special mango dessert wasn’t super special. It was a bit dilute so it presented more like a cool soup instead of a tapioca puddig consistency stirred into some coconut milk and mango puree. We gave up on the dinky single baby teaspoon it came with and drank the tapioca soup like a drink from the bowl. If you head here, stick to the snacks and tea flavored drinks. eatyourcity.ca
