Good food, good service.. I really like chomps. Definitely the best donair place I’ve been to in Edmonton. I’m not sure why they have so many negative reviews. The service is great no matter who you get, and the quality of food is awesome. I highly recommend this place to whoever is looking for a great donair.
One of my favorites. Been going to chomps for a while now, nothing beats there beef donair with sweet sauce. I dont get anything fancy (nor have I tried any of their other food) but I’ve always had a soft spot for this place. Nice simple donair, great portion size and normal prices.
Awful. Do not go there and waste your money, poor food poor service
Quantity over Quality. We ordered 3 x regular and 1 x supreme beef donairs from Chomps on Thursday night. Speaking for myself (the supreme) the only positive thing i have to say about it was the sheer size – it was massive.Otherwise, the beef was dry and not particularly tasty, the tzatziki was sweet (yes, thats right – it tasted like they had added sugar or honey – not nice at all), the mushrooms were from a can and the salad was very basic (besides lettuce there wasn’t much else).On top of this they managed to totally screw our orders (mushrooms and peppers in the wrong orders).If you just want a big Donair and don’t care about taste (or if you’re coming home p!$$#d and won’t remember it anyway) then go to Chomps otherwise there are better alternatives.
Best donair for your dollar in town, way bettwr than Queen Donair
High prices for a mediocre donair. Also I find the sauce too runny meaning it all ends up in the bottom of the bag and not throughout my donair. When I was living in the west end I only ever ended up here when I was too inebriated to care about the quality. In a positive note I do like how they panini press the donair – it’s different and I like a crispier pita.
I love Chomps! It has good food relative to other donair shops, and is open late. I may also be biased since I went to high school nearby and it was my favorite lunch stop. I highly recomend trying it at least once
