Ordered lots of food from this place for lunch , There rice wasn’t cooked properly , the tandoori chicken was burned completely , no taste in fish all drenched in oil , we ordered large fries and we got half of box of fries and one package of ketchup, we called the store to let them know about There food and they said bring it back and they will check for us , and if not take pictures and show him the next time we go there , this place is honestly a joke , I had it delivered because we don’t have time to go back and forth . THIS WAS THE LAST TIME WE WOULD EVER ORDER FOOD FROM THIS PLACE . $120 worth of food went to waste

Chutney is an Indo Pak cusine restaurant in callingwood area. Interior is nice and neat, cozy perhaps. Tandooris were on par with rich flavour and taste.Chicken Biryani is delicious with nice flavours, with perfectly cooked rice. Portion is content for a person, ambience is good at best but be prepared to wait for take out, was given a complementary pakora dish. Overall a warm and pleasant experience. Recommended!

We visited this restaurant on a Saturday morning (Feb 2015) the first time. It is 10 minutes South from WEM. The place was undergoing some serious renovations but they were still open. We ordered their breakfast, being: halva puri, paratha omelette, Lassi and chai. I have reluctantly tried this kind of breakfast at different restaurants throughout Canada, and I gotta say it is now on my top 3 list for South Asian food. The owner was the server and was very friendly. We then went for supper the same day and breakfast the next morning as well. They were busy during our visits and the service was hit and miss on Sunday morning, but when we left, it was the taste of the delicious meals that was on our minds.Suggestion: call them 30 minutes before you arrive so that you don’t have to wait much. You can tell them to hold back the spices on certain dishes as well.Photos attached.

TOTAL RIP-OFF. I am not going to waste too much time reviewing this restaurant as i think even putting time to review this place is a serious waste of time. After managing food service businesses for more than 8 years and having dined in high end and middle sized restaurants in india , dubai , edmonton and other cities in the globe . i have to hand it out to chutney for being the worst of the worst i have ever had. I am one of those who doesnt give a damn about customer service and ambience as long as the food is tasty and delicious. And guess what , this place failed to accomplish any of those. This is the first time i saw a restaurant serving packaged naan bread . And the buffet was nothing but a joke. I dont know where to start, food was cold , they looked way past there holding times, full of grease floating on top of goat curry , barely any chicken on the butter chicken , and the meat was so undercooked , it looked red in the core. It takes a lot out of me to critisize a food because working previously in this field , i know how much hard work it takes to run a restaurant . But today i couldnt sit more than a 10 mins and couldnt even finish my meal because it was so blunt. The owner needs to hire some professoonal staff rather than letting his family be the staff who are all amateurs specially when you price same as the other established east indian restaurants in the town .Never going back or even recommending anyone .
