I love a good falafel and had heard that this place offered one I should check out. I’ll admit it’s a bit of a strange location that you would miss if you weren’t looking for it (being right beside a bottle depot). The falafel was underwhelming, smaller in size and lacking in flavor. Will have to get my falafel fix elsewhere.
Best Pita and Hummus. Don’t let the location (next to the bottle depot) bother you one bit. This is the most flavorful and smooth hummus along with the softest and chewiest pita ever. Definitely take extra home with you.
Best Humus and Baba Ganosh.Enough said.
Best hummus & pita that I’ve ever had!
Gluten Free Pita. The Happy Camel is offering now a new pita made of Gluten Free ingredients, it is really tasty with no bitter after taste, if you know anybody might be interested, please spread the word!18 Aug, 2011Response to chrw88. Hi there chrw88,My name is Sara and I am the owner of The Happy Camel. I am sorry to hear that you did not have an optimal experience with our products. Our breads only really last a day before they should be frozen (as instructed on the bag), since there are no added preservatives. Which dip was it that you purchased? If you would like, you can stop by our shop and pick up a replacement bag of pita and dip. Just mention this correspondence.Best,Sara Larson
Pretty good dips and nice pita, they are active in the community too.
Happy Camel. I use to love the happy camel they had good spreads and pitas but this last year (2011) I’ve purchased 3 times and each has been a bad experience. I bought Pita’s there twice each time they went bad within a day (visible mold) then bought a spread which once arriving home tasted sour (the day i purchased it). I talked to them at the market and they stood by their product but I no longer have faith. To bad it was a good company.
