I’ve been here three times now. It’s a subway-type deal where you choose your tortilla type (corn, whole wheat or white), style (taco, burrito, enchilada, quesadilla), your salsa, your ‘meat’ (including vegan options!), And so on. I’m a big eater and I get the 2 enchilada option, and I always leave with a full stomach. Also cleared sinuses: if you like spicy food like me, this place is amazing for it! 5/5, 10/10, Perfect, just eat here!
Fresh and flavorful. Outstanding service. Cheerful decor. Gluten-free menu (see photo). Lots of choices – and the manager is happy to assist if you are feeling overwhelmed. Best tortilla soup ever. Desserts. Easy to access when passing through Lethbridge. We recommend the Holy Tacos, Enchiladas and the soup. Thank you!
I love cafe Verde! Obviously better than taco time and taco bell, as if that’s difficult, but this place destroys that other Mexican place in lethbridge! Tasty, a lot of options, friendly staff and good prices. Gluten free is easiest with Mexican food, so I def recommend for gf’s. The nachos are pretty great, but tacos are the best! Closest to real Mexican food I have found so far here!
Good food. Prices are very reasonable. Quick, courteous service. Definitely going again. I thought the place was clean and the bathrooms well attended.
Check This Place Out. One of the few decent places to eat out in Lethbridge that isn’t some greasy/ expensive/ crappy franchise! The food is tasty, and there is a variety of meat and salsas to choose from. Don’t under-estimate the black beans, rice, and salad on the side with almost every dish, they are awesome sides that go well with the authentic taste of the main part of the meal. The salsa’s are in a range of super spicy down to sweet/mild. The dressings for the salad are good too! Give it a try!
Corn Taquitos. Can have any combo of salsa and meats, gluten free.
Soggy and bland. Would be easy to fix the problems, like making sure the beans and tomatoes aren’t covered in water and then out into the burritos. Went a couple times because craving a Mexican but never got any better so I’m done. Will have to stick to Mucho Burrito in Calgary or the real deal in Mexico or San Diego. ;(
