Coulee Brew Co. not only has fantastic craft beer. But a menu that is diversified and unique. Rig crew and I rolled in. Any place has tater tots, then drizzles cheese sauce and has spicy saracha ketchup is unique. I had chicken and waffles…..super crispy chicken and amazing waffles. Definite props to the kitchen on the prep and execution. The service was great…waitress was prompt, polite and quick to get us drinks. Overall I highly recommend the Coulee Brew Co. its a great place for food and drink and laughs.
The kitchen staff are absolutely incredible at what they do here! Coulee Brew Co, where did you find these people?! Theyre amazing. I sat right across from the kitchen, so I got to watch them prepare not only my meal, but everyone elses. The care and attention to the food, was miles beyond what you usually get, with the oversatursation of pubs and pub food in Alberta. I watched the one girl in the kitchen place a shrimp skewer (that she looked proud to have cooked) on a plate, reasses its position and move it ever so slightly over, so it looked a bit nicer- even though hey were crazy busy. My mind was just blown by the care and the passion for cooking. The staff all communicate efficiently, help each other out with tables, and keep the customer service flowing. They also brew beer (which I didnt order) and their menu pairs their foods with their beers.I had the fish and chips. 2 pieces with NO GREASE, I kid you not, no grease, piping hot with a crispy, thin, evenly coated…. Im getting excited just recounting the experience.Go in there, eat their food, youll be amazed! If you like fish and chips, then you NEED to go.
Arrived shortly before closing, they were cashing out. But no problem at all, the guy serving was very accommodating and only too happy to serve me a couple drinks and did not rush me our of there. Unfortunately kitchen was closed though. Very cool place with all of the viewable beer brewing from the pubI’ll be back
My sister and I went here for lunch. It was new and we wanted to try something different. I ordered the fish and chips, she had the Mac and cheese with the pumpkin soup. The fish was bland, had no flavour you’d think with it being a place with a variety of beer you’d taste it in their batter but you don’t. My sisters soup was just pumpkin pureed they forgot to add spices and some type of liquid because it was thick. As for her Mac and cheese very dry and bland. We gave it a try and can tell you this we won’t be recommending this place to eat at. The beer flight was great and we’ll priced.
Coulee Brew Co has a great vibe and a fantastic patio. Unfortunately, the food is sub par. The menu looks great with a creative take on standards. I ordered the Coulee Brew Salad with flank steak. The salad arrived in a bowl that was too deep to allow for easy eating. It was impossible to cut the meat without having salad overflow onto the table. At first glance this looked like a poorly put together salad with little visual appeal. The greens were in the bowl with the steak placed in a lump on one side. Cranberries, walnuts and goat cheese were few and far between and mostly at the bottom of the bowl. The dressing was oily and flavourless. The flank steak was sliced too thickly, had little flavour and was overcooked. I was very disappointed. When asked, the other diners with me would not order the same meals again, these included; macaroni and cheese, smoked brisket sandwich, the big cheese (burger) and the caesar chavez with chicken. All said there meals were just ok. On the plus side the service was prompt and friendly and the atmosphere was great.A great place to sit outside and have a drink. Great potential but the food needs to improve. Pricey for poor quality.
They are open until 11 but if you arrive at 930 you’ll be asked to hurry and order. I ordered a Caecar salad that was topped with poorly cut mozzarella. The menu described gruyere -They tried I guess. I ordered a kahuna pizza, chicken, ham, bbq sauce you get the idea. The pizza is large and good value if you can stomach the taste. The sauces were out of proportion and it was a soggy mess of I don’t care. Cheese wasn’t melted and the ham was cold. There was at least a cup of bbq sauce. Service was good overall.
