I wanted a good restaurant for dinner while visiting Lethbridge; but not a chain. I found Diaz and went based on the reviews. Am I ever glad I did! The service was friendly, genuine & professional. I had the Pork Adobo, which was recommended by the server (who I think is also the owner). It was tender, juicy and very tasty. The rice & beans were perfectly cooked and very tasty. I’ll be sure to make Diaz a part of future trips to Lethbridge.
A nice change!. We were in for lunch this afternoon, my wife had the crab stuffed mushrooms and I had the steak sandwich. The flavours were great, nice spices, not hot by any means. We noticed that they used really good ingredients, which made all the difference. We will be back again!
Love this place!. Diaz is our special occasion restaurant. We love to eat here! Tried different dishes, but the chicken with mango salsa is my favorite. If you love garlic, you must try the caesar salad and / or the bruschetta! Karen and her Mom are such gracious hostesses and the food is made with such care. They make everything taste delicious.
Dinner at Diaz. Again dinner at Diaz was really good. This has become my favorite restaurant in the Lethbridge. Its like eating in my Mommas kitchen. The aroma of the cooking food is matched by the lively flavors on my plate. Karen (I know her by name) is by far the best server in the city. She goes out of her way to ensure I am satisfied with everything and once I wasnt and she brought me a replacement without hesitation. Most restaurants just ask you as a courtesy if everything is ok. But Karen really means it, and I like that. And that is what keeps me coming back. That and the Ribs…. Oh those ribs.
Took my sweetie for valentines supper. Had the steak and lobster special. I have had steak everywhere but never so tender and juicy as this. Cooked to perfection, again. Ordered some stick things for appitizers but got some hamburger mix ball things, they were awesome anyways. Ordered fries but got rice, it was crazy busy and the rice was awesome too. Cuban music playing now, could be a notch louder. Didn’t get to go to Cuba this year but suprized to get Crystal beer there now. Totaly enjoyed the night, small place but such personal people.Going back for beer if nothing else, and appies.Even the little market table was a nice touch. Still want to see a little more Cuban landscape pictures but happy to see Lethbridge pictures gone. I have some pictures to donate for next visit.See you soon.10 Nov, 2013The good first. The steak w…. The good first.The steak was cooked perfect and the rice was very good.Nothing really bad but i was disappointed with the decor. I was expecting a cuban atmosphere with cuban music playing in the background. The bathroom walls looked kind of cuban color. There were paintings on the wall for sale but they wete paintings from around lethbridge, not of cuban landscape. The cook and husband is from cuba but the front house (wife) has never been there. Again the food was really good and i would go back, i just wouldn’t wear my cuban clothes. I felt embarassed.
Hidden GEM!. My husband and I ADORE this place. The staff are prompt and friendly and the food is delicious! I would highly recommend the yuca to start and the papas rellenas for your main dish.
Hidden gem! We had the chicken with mango coconut and it was delicious. The fries were unreal – the spices were ridiculously good. If you like something a little different (Cuban infusion), and want to support local business, go check out Diaz Restaurant in North Lethbridge!!! DELICIOUS
