Underwhelming. As other posters have said, far too long to wait for $30/plate dinner, and very poor wait service. Ordered beer, received bottle, no glass, after 10 mins waitress returned, and I asked for glass, told none were available! Asked for water glass to use, 10 more minutes, no glass came, had to get up and go to bar, was given glass, a dirty glass with lipstick on it, had to ask for another…so 20 minutes just to enjoy a beer! Wait for food was 1 hr. 15 minutes. Food was average, lobster dry and rubbery. Don’t waste your time and money here.I Want to hope for this place to support local rather than chain across the street, but will not return, ever.
I used to love it. I have been in lethbridge for over a decade and Georgios was one of my favourites from the beginning, usually I was there 3 times in a month. Within the last 2 years the service and food quality has tanked. Being that this restaurant is small I have never been in too much of a hurry, but in recent months the service time has doubled! I can put up with longer wait times if the food is still good, but sadly the food quality has fallen apart as well; I have been in twice in the last 6 months and both times I sent back undercooked pasta with ingredients missing, on a meal I order at least 50% of the time I go there. Tony, I really hope you read this and figure out what is happening there, so you can remedy the issues and win me back as a customer.
Can’t say anything about the food as we are STILL waiting for it after 40 minutes…slow, in attentive service.
Fabulous food!. We eat at Georgio’s regularly and order from the take-out menu even more often. It is definitely one of our favorite restaurants. Wonderful, friendly staff and incredible pasta dishes. My favorite is Linguine Matriciana ~ amazing! We have never been disappointed with anything we’ve had at Georgio’s! A+
Horrible. My roommates and I ordered food from Georgios because most reviews told us it would be good. It wasn’t. To start off it took an hour and a half for the food to get here and when it did they had forgotten an item and it took several minutes of conversation on the phone before they would send us a new order rather than just getting store credit. When we all finally had our food even that was a disappointment, it was greasy and bland, not at all good, we had to add lots of salt and pepper to make it palatable. Overall this was a failure of a dinner and none of us were satisfied, the garlic toast wasn’t even good.
Is this place going broke or what? First off they said they’d have to verify our order since they were out of some items. Then my Linguine Georgio’s arrived not with linguine but spaghetti noodles. The garlic toast that was supposed to be with it never showed up. When I asked for fresh grated parmesan and pepper I was told they had no parmesan. An Italian restaurant without parmesan? When I pointed to curls of cheese on a dining companion’s salad I was told it was another kind of cheese. They offered to ask about it and eventually wandered over with not grated cheese but chunks of it. I broke it up with my fingers but my pasta was too cold by then for it to melt. Definitely not worth the high prices.
Fast food. The food was out pretty quick. tasted good just wasn’t my style of food.
