Chicken Curry. Chicken with rice cooked with warm Napali spices.05 Mar, 2015A lovely gem of a place. I tried this restaurant for the first time since the new owners started. I couldn’t find any menu info online so I took a leap of faith and just went in. The owner greeted me warmly and I asked for suggestions. I told him I couldn’t eat wheat, so he suggested the chicken curry and I asked about a beef or pork dish for my hubby. He suggested a pork noodle dish and cheerfully went off to make it. The area is very clean, and they re-arranged the layout which makes it seems roomier in the tiny space. There are beautiful pictures of Napal on the walls. In no time at all I had my meal and took it home. It was so good! Warm spices, not too hot, and I had leftovers the next day too. Reasonable prices and really nice food, kind people. Please give it a try!
Don’t judge a book by its cover. This place is in an old strip mall and it’s very small. They only have three tables and it seems to cater more to takeout. The decor is lacking (understatement) and one might decide to go somewhere else if they judge the place for the appearance. Looks are deceiving in this case, because the food is AWESOME! If you like Indian food, you will definitely like Nepali food, though there are differences. I had the Chat, the pakodas, and the Nepali Chow Mein (I Googled it, it’s a real thing). I loved it all. And you can get a good meal for $10. The staff was very friendly. And there was a steady stream of Nepali people coming in for takeout, which to me is a good sign. This just might be my new favourite place.
