Lost for words ???????. I haven’t been to smitty’s for a few years and thought I would give them a try. I do remember the last time was not good ,food and service. Well to my surprise nothing has changed…….. I ordered a simple bacon/eggs. Eggs sunny side up and brown toast. The eggs came very well done and cold and got white toast instead of brown. When I told the server she did not say sorry or offer to fix it for me. All she did was shrug her shoulders. I also ordered a Coke and got pepsi ??? If they don’t serve coke product why the h…….. Are we not told.???????Sorry mr. Smitty but your out in my books.
Just garbage.. Ordered the Ukranian breakfast, just awful! One cook to another I know what microwaved food tastes like. And my perogies were definatley nuked. Eggs came out cold, and the ‘Ukranian sausage’ tasted quite similar to maple breakfast sausages. Hmmm, and that plate wasn’t cheap. Only enjoyable part was my toast and the selection of jam they gave me. Service was ok, but never again.
Very disappointed in the service. They were too busy talking about how a tip was stolen instead of helping customers. The one waitress was trying to help the entire restaurant, seat customers, and take payment while others just watched her do it. You seem to get better service if you are a regular because then the front manager will help you otherwise you are one of the people served by the one staff member while the others just stand there watching her flounder.
Very disappointed, I ordered eggs Benedict and was served a fries egg instead of pouched, the hollandaise was sour. A huge disappointment
Great breakfast, fast service and friendly staff
What happened?. My latest visit to this restaurant was a disappointment. A friendly and obviously very new waitress seemed to have received little training and was not being supported by longtime employees who sat chatting at their own table. When asked for vinegar for my fish and chips she gave me a deer in the headlights look. A few minutes later she came back with a salt shaker full of vinegar! My fish had been so overcooked it was difficult to cut and to chew. Pick up your socks guys!15 Nov, 2012Attentive and responsive service! Wonderfully old school, especially managers/owners.
