Went for supper last night to celebrate, sat ourselves on the lounge side, rather empty on a Thursday night. The room is very dim, except for the blinding pot light shining down at our table, while I understand the ambiance they are trying to create, it unfortunately just felt cold and uncomfortable, seemed like an unpopular and desolate place.While our service was prompt, very down to business, and our orders were correct, we weren’t overly impressed with our meals; it all looked a little lack lustre and tasted as you would expect. Overall, perhaps I expected more, having recently been to the Keg in Banff (which was very good), I was expecting a familiar experience in the former Sven Erickson’s building.I suppose I am expecting too much of the Keg, while they rather take pride in their consistency. Will try again another time for a better go round, maybe on a busier night… but maybe we’ll just try Luigi’s instead?

At any rate, I wanted the chicken supreme which I recommend if you aren’t into red meat so I went in an waited. Food was great as always.
