Closed. Now Mikeys on 12th. Closed. No longer a business. Pining for the fjords. No longer in existence. Is this enough characters yet? No? This is a different business now, run by what used to be Mikeys Juke Joint (which is also closed in its original location. Enough characters yet?
Love the place, love the staff, dig the interesting menu. While getting a bit older, tonnes of character and a lot of awesome beers on tap. Great patio in the summer and definitely a unique hidden gem.
Having gone here several times, I could honestly say it’s worst pub food I’ve ever had. The pizza tasted exactly like cardboard. The venue is getting run down, the chairs are getting beat up. It’s too bad because it’s in a great location.
The eggs Benedict is awesome! What a way to start a Sunday morning. The service was wonderful and myself and my friends will definitely be back.
This place is close to my work, and it always disappoints. The staff are surly, even rude, and the food is poor. They say they are gluten friendly and they are definitely NOT!
Wayyy better!. After my last review I must say that I’ve been back twice now and both times I’ve had an awesome time! The same bartender was so attentive and nice and the food was pretty great. Had the seafood gumbo and 99 cent burgers. Both were good! So glad I gave it a second chance as I think I’m going to be a regular…especially on game and industry nights!02 Jan, 2014Just ok. I went there last night, even though the bartender noticed our large table we didn’t get served for about 15 minutes after arriving. Not impressed. That said, our waitress was pleasent when she finally saw us. I was hungry! We had the hot and cajun wings…-worst- wings I’ve had to date, worse than Mugs Pub and that’s bad. Tiny, hardly sauced dry wings with meat missing in places and it wasn’t even a wing night so they were full price. I did try the on special 5$ dumplings and they were really good, next time I’ll get 2 orders of those.Their other food is usually good too but I don’t recommend the wings.
Great Local Pub. My friend and I first tried out the Blind Monk after walking out of another local spot with non-existent service…. We sat down at the bar and were served within minutes! That was the start of a great evening out. Since then we have returned regularly for Wings on Wednesdays and libations when needed. The staff are friendly and attentive, drink selection covers all tastes, and the food is great pub fare without the grease. It’s nice to have such a wonderful place so close to home.
