I learned one thing the last time I went, stick with what you love. I tried the Veal special it was okay but still love my lemon veal. . . . I have been back a few times, they make a great veal. I have yet to be disappointed. It was a well prepared and very tender lemon veal with tomato penne. Perfectly prepared and served fresh and fast. Paired with the Prosecco could not have been better. As a single diner I did not feel out of place. Used to come here in when it was the Priarie Dog Inn for after bar pizza in the 70’s. Many fond memories,
Very typical Italian restaurant style decor. I had ravioli al pesto, quite good. Their price is also quite moderate based on the big food portion. The owner Claudio was a very hospitable person, we chatted in Italian for a while. I told him that I would bring my husband back to try more dishes. Here again, the food we ordered this time didn’t disappoint us either! The mussels were a bit small because it’s not the right season but they were tasty with the creamy pesto sauce. And dipping the bread in the rest of the creamy pesto sauce is recommended. I also liked the dessert and penne arrabbiata. Spaghetti carbonara was quite authentic, too.
Had a family birthday meal and the quality of the food was only fine. However, my mother found a long strand of black hair in her dish. They replaced the dish and at the end of the meal only offered to bring her a free dessert. She didn’t feel like having dessert, so they brought the bill. They did not comp her meal, nor did they offer any other discount. Needless to say, we will not be returning. Behair!!!
This is a hidden gem on 17th Ave. It’s easy to miss from the outside or find if you’re not looking for it; I walked by here a few times before actually realizing.Authentic Italian ambience and great food. I’ve tried quite a few of their pastas over my many visits and found each one to be an amazing experience. nigameash.com
Really really great food and service. We have 4 very different dishes and all enjoyed them in an atmosphere where we could chat comfortably. The price point was very fair and we all went away full and happy.
Such a lovely hidden treasure and the perfect place for a proper Italian dinner! It is a small, cozy restaurant with an authentic atmosphere. The staff were great, and very helpful with menu items and altering to requirements. We shared the steamed mussels in a creamy basil sauce to start, wish a fresh dinner role on the side. I opted for the veal tortellini in pesto sauce, which they generously made without the cream as per my request. My friend has the seafood linguine which was rich and full! Overall a really great experience, and exactly what we wanted. Thanks Buon Giorno 🙂 carlivh.com
Pastas were bland, and the risotto was not a risotto. It was not creamy or well cooked, looked more like a paella than risotto. The dishes’ components had a look and taste of being both overcooked and undercooked. Service was rushed when taking orders but slow when receiving food and drink. I would not go back.
