We came here very hungry, we left disappointed. I was with 6 friends and we sat outside. I ordered a mojito which I know is always a bit of a risk because it’s a tough drink to get right, but I tried anyway. It came out with zero mint and zero fresh lime and basically tasted like something from a pre mix bottle. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, they got my order wrong (everyone else at the table knew what I’d ordered). By the time they had brought the correct thing everyone else had finished and they had simply given me back the same side that came out the first time around – this was obvious because I’d ordered the delux fries which came back soggy, congealed and cold. I found the chicken sandwich dry and didn’t finish it. I was never offered an adjustment to my bill. We were never offered more beverages after our first round ran out. It took forever to get attention from our server to grab the bill. This place would be ok if I was with a super drunk group who just wanted to play games. I’d never eat here again.
Came here last night for a friends birthday. Waitress was a little slow to come around and say hi and get our orders. The aprikat beer was good. Husband said his whiskey sour was far too sweet and nowhere near sour enough. Ordered the seared ling cod tacos since they were on for $3. They were alright, a bit bland but not bad for $3. Wouldnt pay more than that for them. Husband ordered the wagyu beef dog. He said the bun and dog themselves were good, but that the sauces it came with didnt go very well with the dish. Got the mini donuts for dessert (featured flavor was caramel) and they were delicious. Warm, not too sweet, and the whipped cream on top was the perfect addition. Tried to order our friend a muff dive for his birthday but they said they didnt have whipped cream. Asked them about it when my dessert came out with whipped cream and they said its because the kitchen doesnt share it with the bar which to me was incredibly odd. Are you not the same establishment working towards a common goal of making money?
Last night I saw a post on Instagram of these incredible looking wings. On Tuesdays, Home and Away offers half price wings and $4.00 beers from Calgary. L didnt have any fight in him when he came home and nodded in agreement when I suggested we go out. For this post, lets listen to Bestie…
