Good food but this place is getting very expensive now. Spaghetti with meatballs is #1. I’ve always liked their pizzas but they seem to not taste as good as they used to years ago (maybe changed cheese or something). Staff are always fantastic & usually give us free pop if we’re waiting when showing up prior to food being ready on a take-out order. Haven’t tried their other items but am sure they are delicious!
Based on the food we had, if I could, I probably would have given 4.5, tasty soup, tender chicken, well roasted potato. And I liked the Greek style lasagna with potato, ground beefeggplant, cheese and cream. I will definitely go back. And I am interested in trying their pizza.
I use Manies for take out, never eaten in there. I love the Lamb Shoulder. its a fantastic meal. The lamb, the potatoes, the rice all great. But the lamb. mmmmmmmmmm. What can I say, love it. I love the pizza late night.
Do not eat at this place the owner is a thief and will purposely forget items from your order and never credit you for them after you bring to attention to them that they are stealing from you.We spent over $2,000 over a 6 month period with them to have is double charged and stolen from multiple times. I have contacted the police to ask of thier owner has a history of theft or related charges and was told that have had multiple similar allegations made against them in the past year alone.Thier food is below average but they will steal from you even if you were one of their best customers.
Don’t eat here if your hungry! The food is decent, but significantly lacking in quantity. Maybe if they scaled down the size of the takeout containers, they could afford to send more food. I ordered 2 souvlaki platters, each came with 4 medium chunks of chicken (half of a breast maybe) 1 medium potato cut in half, and a small portion of rice that barely covered the bottom of the container. No bread. For $50 after tipPersonally, Id rather ‘Do the dishes’, eat a satisfying meal and have someLeft overs.. $50 anywhere else would allow for that. Every Greek dinner I’ve ever been to leaves me wanting to pop open the button on my pants afterwards. I’m thinking either the cooks at Manies are from a different region in Greece where food is scarce, or the restaurant is going under and they had to make cuts on portion size to stay afloat. … either way, I won’t be back.
This used to be one of my favourite restaurants, so sad to see it go down hill but the food just isn’t tasty here anymore. Better off to go to Opa and that’s very sad
If you’re looking to get food poisoning. Order the Hawaiian pizza! It comes with a full night of puking and diarrhea. No sleep. Missing work. Loosing income. Loosing weight. (never a bad thing i suppose). Feeling weak and having no energy for 2-3 days. Its important to feel 100% all the time! So please order a pizza from Manies! The ingredients are most likely always fresh!
