This place is amazing! Their macarons are delicious and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They also get very creative with their macarons for certain holidays and occassions. And their packaging is always super cute! I always love coming here.
This place is amazing and truly a hidden gem tucked away in the heart of 17th Ave. I had the fortunate experience to take their Macaron 101 Baking Class. The staff and owners are amazing and wonderful people. It was my first time to go there and definitely won’t be my last. I love that they support other local businesses. Highly recommend this place wether you going for an afternoon tea and sweet treat, or want a fun night of learning. Love to see them introduce a Macaron 201 Baking Class to continue on the knowledge!
This is a gem of a place. Definitely a lovely spot to get delicious macarons and tea. The owners are very kind and welcoming. If you’re looking for some yummy macarons, I highly recommend this to be your go to place! They also offer classes that teach you how to make the macarons, which is super fun and a great experience. Absolutely love Ollia! Five stars!
Lovey display of macaroons and adorable decor! The rose macaron was surprisingly delicious. Very fragrant and the right amount of sweetness. I usually play it safe with macaron flavours but everything here was yummy. Macarons are a grab and go snack but the decor is so lovely here. I wish there was seating inside to enjoy some tea and snack on my macarons!
Great macarons. My all time favorite was the blue cheese macarons. If you are into baking totally buy their nonstick mats they are great and have helped me a lot get better at portioning my own baking. They also sell almond flour. Fair prices, yummy dessert a must stop place while strolling down 17th. Get some tea too!
I took a macaron baking class at Ollia and had the best time! Our instructor was very knowledgeable, fun, and very responsive to all of the questions the students had. I would recommend anyone interested in learning how to make macarons (or just wanting to buy some – their cotton candy macaron is SO good!) to visit Ollia!
I think I’ve fallen inlove with Calgary as a whole. This shop did it. We arrived 30 minutes after the shop opened on a gloomy Tuesday. Walking through the construction of a new sidewalk/roadway you can see the bones of 16th Street. The store was quiet, with one person before us. Gave us time to take in the different flavors and treats at the front. We didn’t catch the front girls name, but she was so friendly, and knowledgeable. She gave us some great recommendations. To the macarons, we got a box of 12 for $26 and also 2 different teas that were displayed in the front! $4My favorite from the bunch was the fig and balsamic! The Lavender lemonade was a great pairing with the delicious treats. Coming from Edmonton I’ve been spoiled by Duchess, I’m not ranking one over the other. Since both establishments have delicious treats, both also having flavors that hit and miss. But a plus here, I didn’t have to wait in a line.
