While I appreciate the friendly staff and the nice layout of the place that showcases their meat spits and toppings, their final product is subpar. They use way too much chewy bread, they add loads of lettuce and little of other toppings, and the beef they put on tasted very salty. U was very disappointed with this donair and would not be back.
I’m gonna go ahead and say that if I’m going for a donair I’m 1) Usually not staying and 2) Not overly concerned about the service, which eliminates a fair few of the not so positive reviews. The food here is great and I will definitely be going back. Could not get over how tender the meat in my donair was. REALLY, really good compared to other places I have been.
Best shawarma and falafel in Calgary! Fresh ingredients, good sauces and they always give lots of meat. This is a great place for late night too. Highly recommend this place
Best falafel in the whole dang city! crave this place all the time. There aren’t too many affordable fast places to eat in Calgary but this place is both of those… and the staff are awesome.
The staff could be a little friendlier but the service is quick. The donair didn’t have a lot of flavour, some more sauce could have helped that.
Staff attitude was poor and the service was sub par. There are too many great Shawarma and Middle Eastern eateries in town to have to tolerate it.
Giving it a few tries. Today was the last chance they get. Went in, lettuce is rusty and decaying in the tray. So unappealing I didn’t bother with a wrap. Instead I got a samosa and small fries. First he over charges me 3$. Then I get home and the fries aren’t cooked. Still hard and raw… Fries… one job. Literally something 15 year old kids can get right. The samosa was dried out and old. I would recommend shawarma knight on 14th. This Tarboosh place is a joke.
