Filling Meal for a Decent Price. Very impressive soup/salad bar which is included in the price of you steak. The steaks are between $26 and $32 dollars depending on the cut.No complaints. Will return soon.
BEST MEATPIES EVER. I had mad meatpie cravings and this was the only place open late. The chief that made us the meatpie was the kindest man ever ! Although he didn’t have enough, he made a fresh batch just for my husband and I. So so sweet!
Great place, highly recommend. Amazing place to eat, I’m so glad I found it! halal food at good prices with amazing service. I was served by Samer and it was an amazing experience. definitely coming back soon
Awesome Steak at an Unbeatable Price. This is a restaurant/eatery/mini grocery in NE Calgary, specifically in the TransCanada mall. You walk inside and can take a seat in the restaurant area or order some food and take a seat in the eatery section. My friends and I decided to take a seat in the restaurant and go from there. The dcor was sparse but very comfortable and clean. We were seated by the hostess and offered drinks promptly. I ordered the Ribeye (well done) with a side of wedges and sauted vegetables. Once we had ordered our main course, we went over to the salad bar (included in the price of the steak). The selection at the salad and soup bar was quite broad and diverse: unorthodox at times. I skipped the salad section and went for the soup. The tomato soup was one of the best I’ve ever had. I went back for a few refills before the steak came. Upon our return from the salad/soup bar, the hostess had brought over freshly baked bread. It was topped with some sort of herbal seasoning and was quite delicious. After about twenty minutes (from when we had originally ordered) the steaks arrived. Our steaks were aged properly and cooked to perfection; just as we had asked. The wedges were done perfectly as well (the place also has Chester Fried Chicken) but were a bit much considering the steak. To summarize: The steak was out of this world as was the soup and the rest of the food. My mouth waters just thinking about the food. In terms of price: the meal cost $30 (not including drinks or tips). The owners are Muslim and as such, all of the meat served is halal. This also means that the establishment is dry i.e. you cant have a glass of wine with your food. However, thats a price that I (and my friends) are more than willing to pay.
People always ask me where do you get your meat pies from there so good its amazing and i tell them hages food store ne its great keep it up yum yummm
The best spinach and zaatar pie in town – it’s baked fresh to order! Highly reccomend to anyone looking for warm baked goodness!
Good food.. This place has good middle eastern food and is one of the only places you can buy fresh figs in Calgary. The staff is friendly and some of the items available are unique in the city.
