Cake was good but the staff needs to know how to smile.. customer service sucks… their chicken bun was pathetic… when they made a mistake with my son’s name spelled incorrectly on the cake they didn’t even apologies instead they wanted to verify the email that i sent to them. Even after getting to know it was their mistake of misspelling, no sorry or apology…
Very disappointed with my experience. After looking at reviews, I was excited to order some food last night from this restaurant. I ordered through Skip the Dish. After look through the menu I decided on the dinner for 2 which included a choice of 2 dishes and rice. I also ordered some steamed spinach rolls. When the order got to me I immediately noticed that one of the lids for the dishes hadn’t been properly sealed and a portion of the dish had spilled into the bag. The sauce for the roll had also not had the lid on properly and had partially spilled. However, this wasn’t a huge deal for me. I opened the other two dishes. The first was the vemicelli and vegetable hot pot, which was good. The broth was tasty although not exactly the taste I was expecting. The steamed spinach rolls had very little spinach in them and were rubbery. I attempted to eat them but just could not. I have had steamed rolls before and they had always had more filling in them then these did. The second dish I ordered was the Budda vegetables. The description on the Skip the Dish website mentions it being seasonal vegetables. What I received was a dish with vegetables and tofu, which I didn’t want.I understand that mistakes happen and I wasn’t too upset but I still contacted Skip the Dish to see what could be done about this. It was already 1030 pm and I didn’t have time to wait for another order to arrive at my door. I was wanting a partial refund for the Tofu dish at minimum. I was told the restaurant would call me today to discuss this. And this is where my being slightly annoyed becomes me being upset enough to write a poor review and give such a low rating.I was contacted by the cook who had made my meal the evening prior. We discussed my meal and what I was unhappy with, He laughed when I mentioned that the rolls had very little filling and were rubbery. He said they have been cooking these for 25 years and have no complaints, and this is how we do them. I mentioned the tofu in the Budda vegetables, He said that they put tofu in the Budda vegetables and always have. There is no mention of this on the Skip menu. He said it was not his fault they did not put a good description on the website. I told him that as a business, it is their responsibility to make sure that the information out there pertaining to their business is correct. He argued with me, and kept interrupting me while I spoke. He kept mentioning that they have always done their Budda vegetables with tofu. How was I supposed to know that when the online menu says nothing about tofu? He was rude to me, dismissive of my concerns and out right condescending. That is why this review has such a low score.This issue has still not been resolved and I am very disappointed in the whole situation..
the food test good Didn’t get sick from the last time when it closed down for health reason & it over price then before will not comeback again since they add too much MSG & GMO on to the food but the Bakery is still cheaper to order take out
I used to tell people not to go since I got diarrhea every time I came. After the shutdown n reopening, I gave them a second chance. The food have a great improvement. The new renovation n staff are very warm-welcoming. I think i will go there for supper every week.
hainam chicken is the best dish here i come here for dinner all the time are the portion size is the best good quality price and for a single guy who doesn’t like to cook I come here every other day.
My one and only place to go and eat wonton noodles and egg tarts love their broth. The street in the front of their store has been newly renovated and makes this place even more enjoyable then how it was before. Good Job Garden Bakery for the good food and best prices in the city
I love going to Garden Bakery with my mommy after work. Although it is not the cleanest place it is a place my mommy and I can sit and talk about the day’s events. We can drink tea, eat a lot of food at a great price and then bring cake home for daddy and feed it to him.
