Quick service, good food. The main reason we pick this restaurant over other pho restaurants is the quick service. You can order and be eating in only a few minutes. The food is good with no complaints. (I’ve only ever had pho noodle soup though) One minor issue is that the meats described on the menu may not match up with the ones actually served. The prices are reasonable. The restaurant owner is really loud and open, but I’ve never had a problem with her. It’s just her personality. The one waitress (only one I’ve seen?) isn’t exactly friendly, but she does her job well nonetheless. Would recommend for a quick satisfying meal.
Oh yeah #23 is the bomb!!!02 Jan, 2014Been eating here for Year’s. It’s like home cooking to me. Owner is very comforting. 1st choice of Asian food in Alberta!!!!!
Ask owner to see Vietnam pix books while U wait. Chicken curry could’ve been a tad spicier but was good. Deep fried won tons were good. I’d go back.
Have Enjoyed for Years. I’m a little surprised at the negative reviews for this restaurant – our experience has been the opposite and we’ve been there numerous times. The lady running the place always remembers us and greets us. She even remembers what we usually eat, including the homemade chili sauce that I like. My husband has tried a couple of the soups, which he enjoyed, but we often stick to the vermicelli bowls with pork, spring rolls and shrimp, which we’ve always found to be excellent. On our most recent visit, we did find the prices increased again. At $11.95 for our fave vermicelli bowl, the price is high enough, but nevertheless, always fresh and tasty. The dcor is colourful – probably not to everyone’s taste – but the restaurant is always clean and neat. Yes, the owner(?) lady is a little loud and opinionated, but she’s always been good with us. Recommended!
Fantastic broth!. I always order pho with the standard broth and all the available meats and this place gets the classic dish right! The accompanying dish of bean spouts, lime, basil leaves and hot peppers was also stacked unlike some of the off-Chinatown pho places.
Rancid food. Place looked very hopeful. Decor typical of cheap chinese place with good food.Food came out. Some dishes were good but mostly on the poor side. One meat dish was very interesting and could not put my finger on the spice. After eating a bunch of it realized the meat was simply rotten and rancid. Not a spice, just bad meat. Not returning.
Best Pho in the city!. My husband and I are addicted to this place! Unlike some of the reviews on here we love the service! The people there are always smiling and happy to see us, and get us whatever we need. They are delightful, and the food is absolutely amazing. The #22 is our favorite, its just so good we go back several times a month. They know us there, seeing as we are regular customers and know exactly what we order before we even have to tell them. Its always nice and quiet and they have Chinese drama TV shows playing all the time! Its good to zone out on hehe.
