Staff were polite but complacent. Our server never came back after food was served. Only accepted cash payments. The restaurant was empty and quiet creating a cold atmosphere. The meats in the soups are very fatty so depends on your preference.
Best thing to eat on a rainy day…Pho. Best place to get pho….King Noodle. Their x-large bowl is like no other in the city. A great place to get Pho, great flavours and value. Be warned…this place gets busy and doesn’t take debit (but have a convenient ATM)
Simple beef ball pho and it was delicious. Came with usual trimmings of Bean sprouts; red chili pepper and aromatic greens and fresh for your soup!Broth is clean and clear, with little to no fat! Rating 10/10 for food, service by owner to be less desired… what you want; slap it down and eat. No service. What did you expect for Chinatown
The place looks sketchy, they only cash, no credit cards, the prices are average, service is pretty but that was probably because our table was the only table there. Their pho soup as pretty watered down so I probably wouldn’t come back here.
Such a sketchy looking restaurant exterior and interior. The pho itself is not bad, for its price point it’s a really good deal for an XL pho. You have the option of adding extra ingredients too like extra noodles or meat. For me, the soup base tastes a little different compared to the rest of the places (Tau bay, Pho hoan pasteur…etc) and not as flavourful. Overall, average tasting and cheap but not sure if I will be rushing back here anytime soon.
Hands down best bang for your buck tasty pho place in Edmonton. I always get the XL Pho Dac Biet and it is to crave for. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is wanting pho!
My first impression of the place was the physically it didn’t look very inviting. The place could update its style and perhaps use a few new pieces of furniture. I’ve had pho from many places and I’d have to say the pho broth here is lacking in heaviness of beef bones. After having the entire bowl including the soup, I felt quite thirsty for the rest of the day. I think there was too much salt.
