I used to visit all the time. Went back recently and the quality has gone downhill. I really wish it gets back to its former glory and quality food.
I can see why no reviews in years. Tried the place today and bought three different items. All were terrible. Ribs nothing but sinew and super salty, no bbq flavor at all. BBQ pork tough and again all salt and little bbq taste. Roast pork was totally dried out and impossible to eat. This was at 12:15 so no reason for the stuff to be so overcooked. I see know why I never see people in here buying. The worst Chinese bbq I have ever tasted.
Lives up to its name. Clean/cheap/tasty!That just about sums up this unpretentious BBQ place in Chinatown. The BBQ pork is firm, chewy and full of flavour. Buy it alone ($7.50/lb) or make it into a lunch box with fragrant rice and a sweet ‘n’ spicy sauce (for $6.00). They do run out of BBQ sausage pretty quickly……….. finally got to try and it was good!
Good BBQ Meats. The bbq and roast pork is good. The duck is tasty. They always run out of sausage. Their chicken is a little small for the price they charge. I like their lunch box (one or two types of meat with rice). There is a line up at times usually during lunchtime. They are closed on Tuesdays. They do take one month off for summer holidays.
Line up. I was there on Monday afternoon and there was a big line up, I was going to give up but a friend told me I have to try them when I am in China town. Good thing I did, I ordered a whole BBQ Duck, some BBQ Pig, and BBQ pork, costed about $40, not too bad for what I got. They were all great when I got home, still hot, and very very tasty. The lady that cut up the meat for me was very friendly, constantly saying Thank you, and come back again. This is a must place to try out if you like Chinese BBQ, and I normally don’t say it is a must try. Keep up the good work Lady, you were great with the smile.
Stick to Barbeque King City next door. Went here on a day that Barbeque King City was closed since I was craving Chinese BBQ and was not overly impressed. Tried the duck and roast pork (my favs) and both were extremely dry and not flavorful. Try Barbeque King City next door, you won’t regret it!
Best Chinese Bbq in the city. The bbq pork is amazing. Unlike the other Chinese Bbq place the staff here are really friendly & can speak perfect english.
