THe bathrooms..omg..ythe bathrooms… Soup was cold and broth was old. Rice was just warm. both were obviously microwaved. Huge chunks of uncooked and uncleaned vegetables and little meat. It’s like grade school cooking.Thought we would try it because it was pretty good back in the 90s. New owners and staff. Food was very disappointing. Service was average. If you really want a shock go into the bathrooms. They actually cook food here after using those. Will never go back

Not good at all. Stay out of the bathrooms. Don’t peek into the kitchen. This place his been issued warnings many times. The food use to be great..15 years ago. Now days it seems like the owners have gave up. The food was below average and we did not even touch the special fried rice because it looked discolored.Eat here at your own risk.

Cheap and Delicious. I’ve been going to the Wokkery throughout my entire life. They’ve been incredibly consistent despite management changes and all the various happenings throughout the year. Here’s what you need to know:- The location is not great, not the safest nor cleanest place.- The food is fantastic – order the ‘Fung Sah’ chicken – preferrably a whole one so that the whole chicken is cooked fresh.- Seriously, get the above chicken. The rest of the dishes are fairly standard fare, reasonably tasty and cheaper than the majority of other chinese restaurants out there.

Time travel back to 1995 except the price super-inflated. Wow this was an old time favorite and evokes strong memories of the 90’s when it was thriving. Nowadays, though, I think only old-timers come here. The place hasn’t undergone any upgrades and even the food tastes like it’s from the past (ha). I don’t think they can really compete nowadays in terms of portion, freshness, variety, and price. But, like double greetings, if you want a blast from the past, you cannot go wrong. It has stood the test of time for a reason.

Do They Even Care?. I went in for an evening meal and as I entered I was greeted with a stink eye by one of the tween children who worked there. I understand it is a family restaurant however, if you are working in a customer service based environment, I believe being friendly to the best of your ability is a must regardless of your mood. I did not like the food. We ordered a XO sauce beef – teppan style, which I found it to taste funny. Beef that did not taste like beef…but sort of fishy. I did not enjoy the peach mayo deep fried pork. It was pretty fatty and the presentation was unappealing. The starting soup did not taste very good. It left my throat dry and uncomfortable right after. Also the red bean sweet soup tasted fine at the first few spoonfuls. However, when going midway down it was stale tasting!*Please take note of this: THERE WAS ANOTHER SPOON BURIED IN THE RICE CONTAINER HALFWAY DOWN!!!not cool. NOT COOL.My speculations was that the top half of the rice was fresh and the bottom half was from a previous customer. The only thing I found decent was their vegetable dish and tofu fish. Finally, the most unclassy part comes when one of the family members starts swearing out loud and saying how Christianity is stupid and totally disregarding how their customers feel when hearing all this. Absolutely unclassy. I understand family restaurant and the whole family feel, however to say something so offensive and utterly inconsiderate was so shocking!!! One staff member blatantly said all religions are f*cking stupid. This statement I found so disrespectful. So disrespectful. Overall, my experience at The Wokkery was unpleasant and found it distasteful in both food and atmosphere.

All time favourite struggling lately. A staple for me over the last few years especially after working late as their open untill 11pm i have noticed over the last year they are no nearly as busy as they used to be and the owners/staff have appeared to given up on the place . getting a water or more chili sauce seems a chore for them its a shame as they used to serve good honk kong style chinese
