A real honest local pub. This place is great. The food is good and the pizza is WONDERFUL. It has a blue collar feel to it, and that’s OK. There are breakfast specials and cheap beer for the rest of the day. It has really been a one-woman show whenever I’ve been here, and we’ve never had a problem with service – pleasant and efficient.About the only negative – the booths. Poorly designed seating. Grab a table, or if it’s not -30 outside, a seat out on the patio.
Good place to drink, food was great best burger I ever had! Only bad thing is the cran/vodka tasted a little watery/no vodka but I got a rum and coke and the night got beter will be going back!
Hi, this is a convenient bar, run by hard working people if you use it you should respect it, otherwise go else where. We love the location, we love the pizza!!!! If you have not had it it would rank one of the best in Calgary !!!! Monday nights it is on special and we get it a lot it is always made the same and delicious, not to much crust, it is crisp with delicious toppings. They have other specials, a pool table, and the same beer, chairs and service as any where else. We have visited this bar and grill about 5 times now. It is a nice little pub to have within walking distance. We have had beers, wine and dirty mothers here, the drinks were well priced. It is bright inside, and .a pool table, VLT’s are there to pass the time. There is lots of room if you wanted to hold a large get together. On Mondays the pizza’s are two for one and they are fantastic, and always the same quality. 14.00 for two large pizza. Wed night is 25 cent wings, I have not tried them. They have a variety of other specials.My only suggestions would be LIVE MUSIC, open jam, but before you start the amps, move the paints tins from the upper storage or they may shift.I think the area residence should get together and make this a fun place to meet up, Thanks for reading my notes.
Great place! You will notice negative feedback from same user acounts and what seems to be arguing back and forth between enemies. Disregard. AGLC only shows up to do random spot checks and everything was fine. The food is great, the current staff is very friendly, creative and delicious food menu. Great drink specials. A fun place to go if you need a place to see a familiar face. Of course it has regulars! It’s a bar! And they are always there to say hello, and keep an eye on things to make sure nothing gets out of control. I never have to feel unsafe or unwelcome.The place has really gotten a face life from its previous owners. Mabye take a shower before you come, not after…New owners are very generous and nice. I have had bills that have been discounted to show appreciation, and even the odd drink or two taken of my tab.. They host fun Saturday night events with games, karaoke, and give aways. Not a bad place to go! Never judge a book by its cover, the lot has been under construction for over a year and the new building next to Coasters has made the parking lot a gravel mess, but once your in, there is nothing but good times. I’m fairly sure these negative responses are directed only to slander and purposely hurt individuals who care for that place and are not true and honest reviews.I would recommend Coasters to anyone and have brought many friends from all over this city who have had nothin bad to say. Considering its in the middle of a community and not a shopping center, and the place is always bumpin, I would say they must be doing something right.
The favorite part of the visit was when the police and AGLC showed up because everyone was over served.11 May, 2013Brutal service! Rude staff and the owner was drinking at the bar. Short poured pitchers and coors mixed with big rock. Never going back.
I’ve been to coasters a few times now, received excellent service every time. I was very surprised by the excellent quality of food which is reasonably priced. I just tried their pizza which was out of this world! Best pizza I’ve had for sometime. Lowest priced drinks in the area by far, with even better drink specials 3 dollar beers on Sundays… You just can’t go wrong!
This bar is unsafe. The bar over serves its patrons in order to compensate for their low volumes of business. As a result the bar has had a lot of violence over the last few years . There is thee real possibility that someone will be killed there. The combination of over serving and lack of security is the reason why you need to stay clear of this bar.The food is no better than a microwave meal.
