Visiting from out of town and my friend recommended this place close to her home. We shared Chicken Vindaloo, Lamb Madras and Prawn Curry along with Saffron Rice and Garlic Naan. The flavours were very nice and the waitress was excellent. The only thing keeping me from rating 5 stars was that I didnt find it as spicy as advertised on the menu. My friend thought it was perfect, but I would have enjoyed a bit more heat. I was surprised it wasnt busier given the quality of the food but Im sure it has a loyal client base. Definitely recommended and I would go back again.
A very disappointing experience! Every single container was practically nothing but sauce with a few pieces of meat floating. The butter chicken had only 5 small cubes of chicken and we paid $15 for it. The dal was nothing but a thin lentil soup – you had to fish for them. Each piece of nan was $3. I can’t understand how a restaurant like Karma survives in this economy when you can go to so many other outstanding Indian food restaurants in Calgary. Never going back!
