I have been to Muldoons for dinner as well as brunch and have never been disappointed. We find the service has always been good and they have a solid menu. It has never been overly busy like some pubs can get and its quite spacious. Typical pub atmosphere, typical pub seating with pretty good food.
Came here last night with some friends. Found out it was $1 tacos so they were excited. All they had was hard shell so didn’t get any. Also they charge you extra for toppings for your taco so they’re not really $1. Waitress was nice and came around often, she was quite friendly. Ordered the fish and chips. Fries were nice and crispy, fish was battered and fried well, slaw was good but their tartar sauce was very odd. Not the typical tartar sauce that has a nice bite to it – this stuff was very sweet and I did not like it at all which is a bummer since I love fish with tartar sauce.
Decent Irish pub on 130th. We stopped in one evening after a day of gardening and chugged down a few beers and had some appy’s. They have a largish selection of beers, with some great imports. The menu was fairly standard for an Irish pub, and the food was pretty decent. We had two servers, one acted like she didn’t care about a tip while the other bent over backwards for us (we asked for our burger cut in half and she went the extra mile for us and got the half burger and half chips served on separate plates, making it much easier for us to share). Decent place for some cheap Irish grub.
Service attitude. 5 of us went for lunch, When we asked for a cocktail we were told it’s an Irish pub, we don’t do things like that. The ceaser salad was good as was the burger but it lacked onions, we asked for a little more and was told this is how it comes and if you want more then we will be charged. All we needed was a quarter of a slice. Not so good service and attitude. Apart from the burger the rest of the food was so so. Upon paying and leaving 10% tip the waitress said nothing and stormed off.
New Menu is great!!. Muldoons sure has made some great improvements! The new menu is very very good and a welcomed change. This menu should bring this pub back to top of the food heap out south, they used to have great food and now they are back in the game. The burgers are super good and the apps like duck poutine are delicious and very high quality.
Awesome service at the bar. Firehouse burger! Great! An actual home made patty! Will be back
