The fish and chips here are so tasty.. just like I remember them being from out east. The only issue I have here is they need to figure out a way that your batter is not soggy by the time you take it home with take away.. To avoid that I always try to eat in. There fish selection is fairly wide, and the dips are just amazing. Portion sizes are also good especially when you order extra.
Went here 2 days ago with my girlfriend she had the halibut and I had the 2 piece cod dinner. fish was awesome, crispy batterand fish was cookedreally well. The chips and tartar sauce are to die for. my girlfriend ate both of our coleslaw portions so I didn’t reallyget a chance to try the coleslaw but she seemed to really like it. Overall great experience at Sea, would recommend!
I’ve been here approx 4 times now. Fish and chips are crispy, delicious and not too oily. Very good service. The seafood chowder however wasn’t very flavourful and the crab cakes were also average.
Love this place! I don’t get why people have so many bad reviews! The food is delicious, the tartar sauce is addictive and it’s worth every penny (even though it’s not that expensive) Came in at the end of the night, had a fresh and hot order in less than 10 minutes and a wonderful conversation with the owner while we waited. Such a sweet lady! And I love the decor! It really adds to the experience there!
I’m not sure what to make of the love it/hate it mix of reviews and some of the claims of high prices. I thought the opposite – $14 for fish and chips (2 pc) and $4.75 for a bottle of beer is a bit on the lower side. The home cut fries were great and the haddock was cooked OK but bigger/thicker pieces of fish would have been appreciated. Nevertheless, if Iwere to haveanother hankering for some fish and chips, I’d give it another shot. Some of the pubs and Joey’s offer the same, so I’ll have to make a comparison run to check out the difference in price and quality. The restaurant itself is small but ‘cute’ I guess is the right description. Natural wood tablesand chairs, nautical but not overdone theme, and a view of the street life make it a pleasant place to linger for a lunch. My food came out promptly and my server did all the right things. The coleslaw is a disappointment, but there isn’t much of it, so you needn’t worry. Jury is out on this one.
Dont come here, the fish is soggy and the chips are dry and stale. Came here with a groupon if you buy regular price is way too expensive for the poor quality food. Also super small portion. Don’t waste money on the groupon.
We like fish n chips so drove all the way to try this place. Chowder portion and flavour was good but was barely luke warm. Calamari was soft and gooey, and not crispy. The Cod was half done and needed another 3 minutes. The Haddock was okay. Overall not impressed. Lastly, the owner lady Susan had a bad attitude and not an inkling of customer service. Her attitude made it easy to give this place a poor rating.
