The current owner makes a very traditional Chinese menu but with some new twist so if people expect the typical made for Canadian Chinese, this may not be the place. However, you want very traditional and real Chinese, you will be in a treat. We really like the Steamed Fish Steak with Drilled Vegs and Soy Sauce, Thai Curry Beef Flank and Salty Plum Pork Hock, etc. The Fried Quail makes a great appetizer, too.
Price is fair which is pretty much the same as other Chinese restaurants. However the food are great with good size proportion. They also have attentive and friendly services. Usually come with soup and dessert with a full meal. Overall a good alternative out of the downtown core.
I’m tempted to write a bad review of this place so that I can continue to eat here and have the place all to ourselves ! But that would be a huge injustice. They have good Chinese. I wouldn’t go out of my way for it, but if you live close it is well worth going to with the family.
Salt n Pepper Chicken. Ordered many times from resturant and salt n Pepper Chicken was good with nice chucks of chicken but, this time it was all batter and chicken was so over cooked it was like jerky. Called to complain and was told if I want better chicken order Hong Kong style chicken. I Will not be ordering from this resturant again as quality of food has slowly gone down hill and customer service does not exist.
Terrible Take-Out Experience. Ordered last night and most of the dishes were completely inedible.1. Beef Satay Ho fun- Boiled white overcooked clumpy mush with flavorless beef and sauce poured over the top. Sauce and noodles are not cooked together so you’re left with a big clump of overcooked noodles.If you stick your fork in it the entire container comes out. Gross. How can anyone send this out of the kitchen in good conscience.2. Black Pepper Chicken- This is a $14 dish and it was 90% Onions. There is no mention of onion in the menu but it make up the majority of the dish. What little chicken there was was dry, overcooked, tough and chewy. What a rip off.I’m so mad. It’s like they aren’t even trying. Never again. You have been warned
Take Out . Take out portion is extremely small charging at $12.95. Not worth it at al.03 Jan, 2015Order take out today; the food is terrible. Not only the food is tasteless but the dishes are very small in portion. It is not worth a try.
