I had no idea how small and cute this restaurant is! It’s a great spot to grab lunch and a hot sake while shopping though. The prices are very fair and the service is attentive. I had the beef takaki (of course ) along with their sashimi salad Both were very tasty! My only criticism is that I wished the sashimi pieces in the salad were bigger. They were cut into small cubes. The beef was sliced beautifully thin and had a delicious sauce. Great lunch spot while at Chinook!

We went to Globefish on Thursday night for dinner. We were there around 7:00 and it wasn’t too busy, we got seated right away. We shared an order of gyoza, the Japanese Cowboy sushi burrito, and the Flames Combo (6pcs each of Spicy Tuna roll, Spicy Salmon roll and Spicy California roll). The food was ok. The burrito was good but all the spicy sauce was sitting at the bottom of the burrito (it was kind of soaked into the rice) so for the majority of the burrito I thought it had absolutely no taste whatsoever and then I got to the bottom and was like oh here it is! So it would have been better if the tuna had been marinated in the sauce so the flavour was consistent throughout. The texture was really good though, the cucumber and cabbage were nice and crunchy. The Flames combo wasn’t that great. They just pour the spicy sauce over top of the sushi and I don’t really care for that because I think it makes the rice a bit soggy. I prefer when the fish is marinated in the spicy sauce. Plus the sauce itself wasn’t that great, it was a bit sweet. Service was great and we’ve been here a few other times and have always been fairly satisfied with the food. I don’t think Globefish is a must try but it’s nice to have a sushi restaurant at Chinook.
