Thought we would finally stop into Harv’s for the first time. We ordered taco in the bag, a sub sandwich and a donair. Well… the taco in a bag was very well received by my 11 year old son. However, the sub was less than good ( all bun and little filling) and the donair was a big disappointment. Donairs should always be in a pita shell and have fresh meat, not hard dried slices. The sauce was also lacking flavor. Staff was friendly but will not order the two disappointments again unless I see a change.
Just had a donair brought to me wow. What a disappointment. It was wrapped in a tortilla shell. There are suppose to be made in a pita. The donair sauce was nothing more than mayo garlic and vinegar. Very little in it and the meat I wasn’t sure was totally cooked. I won’t be trying this again
Harv’s.. Well this place has been open for a while, and I’ve never been, so I thought I’d check it out. It’s a little convenience store, so it has all that normal stuff; candy, pop, whatever. But they also serve made to order food. Hotdogs, soups, subs, salads, wraps, and just added as of my last visit, donairs. I’ve only had subs so far, and they are pretty good. Size? Well they have the normal 6 inch, and 12 inch subs, but the buns are bigger than subway. And the prices are pretty decent as well- a out $5 for a sub, some of them less. The owner (who strangely enough is not named Harv) is always friendly. I’ve always been treated great, like a real person, and you can tell he really appreciates you coming in. Want a quick meal? Stop in, it better and more filling than Subway.
