Ate there today for a late lunch. I ateeggs/sausage with hash browns and pancakes. The food was made fast and very good.The other order was a burger that was cooked perfectly and the best onion rings my dinner date said he ever had! The waitress was very attentive and made sure we were good. I will definitelygo there again!!
I recently visited this place, and I don’t see what the problem is. I was a part of a group of 6, and it went quite well. I was impressed with our waiter: when asked what a certain toping was, he brought out a sample. Always had enough drinks, which all are free refills. Now the food; IHOP is known as a breakfast place, so that’s what they specialise in. They do it well, from an off menu request, to the Nutella banana crepes, and other stuff like that. It was good. But the non breakfast menu seems like it’s just there. Even in the menu picture the fries look gross, no better than the frozen stuff you’d make in the oven at home. The appetizers are pretty good though, although slightly overdone. Onion rings good, mozzarella sticks great, chicken strips good. This is nothing against this location, just the brand in general. It’s a pancake place, maybe they should’ve stuck with that but that’s not the fault of anyone here.Prices; I wasn’t the one who paid, but it seemed comparable to similar places.TLDR I’ll be back again, but I’ll stick with breakfast foods. Good service. And better iced coffee than from Tim Hortons.
Great service with a very sweet waitress but that does not make it worth going again as the food was horrible. Never again. Uggghhhhhhh! There were 12 of us and not one person enjoyed their selection.
Prompt friendly service, large portions, dry, bland food. Franchise needs a smaller meals, too much food going to waste. Doors don’t open until 6:30am, all other popular breakfast restaurants in the Hat open at 6:00.
Very DISAPPOINTED.. We stopped at IHOP for lunch at 1:30, were seated immediately but the staff totally ignored us for 20 minutes so we got up and walked out. Understandable and would not have complained if they were busy but there were only 3 other tables in our 1/2 of the building that were occupied. Staff were busy cleaning and setting up tables around us but did not even acknowledge that we were there, offer us water or coffee and did not attempt to make any contact with us. Not likely going back there.
Dinner i hop. My first visit not impressive. i eat out a lot and travel . probably should have ordered breakfast but ordered sirloin dinner. soup tasted great but potatoes not cooked. sirloin dry, tough and we both sent it all back. the waitress should be advised to let the cook know and offer a discount if not eaten. meal not appealing on the plate. was happy to see a new restaurant in medicine hat but can have an excellent steak sandwich and salad bar at beefeater for the same price.
