First time visit, very pleased. We’ve lived in the Hat for 13 years and first step foot in this place today. We found the staff friendly and shared a few laughs with our waitress. For an appetizer, we tried the bruschetta at our waitress’ recommendation. Probably the best we have ever had. Salads were good and after eating all this and a mini loaf of bread, I was a little concerned about the size of the main course. We feel the main dish was just right, any larger, there would have been no room for dessert. Dessert? Nicely finished off a perfect meal. We prefer the spice of East Asian food but we will definitely be visiting here again!

So Salty it was inedible. We traveled from Ontario to The Hat for our son’s Birthday. Read the reviews and decided to try the restaurant. Not busy on Monday night. Service was slow, and the meals questionable, albeit the Cesar Salad was good. The steak came out rare & had to be sent back. The sauce on the veal was so salty it was inedible. The pescatore came in a soup bowl? They are charging Toronto prices mediocre quality/quantity. Our son was very disappointed and put a damper on the BD Party. Won’t go back even if they offer a free meal!
