Meh… Great service always covers up horrible food. The two ladies at the counter and who made my donair were exceptionally polite, expedient and friendly. The donair was mediocre. You carve the meat off the spit. Keep it warm in a slow cooker, which essentially slowly dried it out. Then you microwave the meat before putting it in my wrap which removed even MORE moisture. What the EFF… It doesn’t take much to keep it warm and baste it on the spit and carve off what you need. Then put it on a hot grill just before serving it. Keeps the moisture in as well as the flavours….
Crazy owner. I have been in the store and seen the boss scream at her employees for stupid reasons calling them dumb and blind poor girl was in tears No one has a right to treat your employees as poorly as that woman does Would never go back
The food is pretty good however the service is not. I tried to order today for pick up at 8.40 and they shut at 9. I would have been there way before bit they refused to serve me. The guy stating he has to clean up and wouldn’t be able to make any donairs as he needs to be out of the door for 9. This is inexcusable and what a good way to lose customers!!!!

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. My boyfriend and I just finished eating from Samirs Donair for the first time, and we are still hungry ! I paid 23 dollars for the regular chicken, and a regular donair with drinks. I wish I would have taken a picture to show you guys how bad of an experience this was. On my boyfriends donair there was 2 slices of meat, and a hard pita. The weird foam sauce that comes with it was really weird and untasteful, very airy and bubbly. We spoke with management afterwards who claimed she was also the owner and just let her know how we felt , we were appauled. Im not the type to go and write reviews on things like this but we were so disgusted of how much money we paid for the little food we got that we would like to deter anyone from wasting their time and money and go somewhere else !!
OK Donair!. We don’t have another Donair shop in Medicine Hat to compare it to. Overall I found the Donair ok, a bit pricey. It would not compete with a Donair from Calgary. But I don’t think it is fair to compare city to city. Different produce, different meats. I had mine with a Tzatziki sauce instead of the sweet sauce. I will try another one with the sweet sauce. I didn’t find the staff really friendly, which is a shame!
