Normal Size. Same thing you got going on just double the size14 Mar, 2015Ok, but never again. The food was good, but to only have a sandwich smaller than mcdonald’s cheese burger, and a spoon full of salad for 38$ for my girlfriend and i was ridiculous. ill be spending my 40$ on an actual meal next time not a smokehouse taste test.
Disappointing. Personally I didn’t like them. Their rice is yummy(surprising since I don’t like beans) and so was their salads, esspecially the potato salad. But the meat we didn’t like. My whole family order something different each so we could try everything they offered. The chicken was moist but little to no flavor. All the other meats we found to be very dry and extremely hard to chew. The ribs we surprisingly dry. I make way better in my own oven. There was little to no flavour to the pulled pork and very dry. Same with teh brisket. In fact we found that to be hard in sections. We were so disappointed as we had been looking forward to having some great barbaque.
Real BBQ. Well, I’ve never had really BBQ before, I’ve had the crap from family restaurants and fast food places that’s frozen meat and half a bottle of sauce, so my expectations where pretty low. Well I’ve tried it and been there three times now and was blown away. Brisket? Good. Pulled pork? Good. Bacon and cheese? Good. All together in a sandwich? Great. That was what they call Manwich. I’ve also had the Porkzilla, which is pulled pork, sausage and bacon. Now this isn’t your sausage patty from the clown, it’s real sausage. These aren’t exactly cheap, ($12) but you get a lot, and a side. It’s one of the very few places I can eat and be full, rather than spending $20 and still be hungry. They also have your basics; pulled pork, brisket, chicken sausage and ribs, alone or in a sandwich, or by the pound. And the sides. Man, the potato salad was made with quarters of potato, not tiny pieces. And the baked beans? This ain’t your canned stuff, this actually is good.My only complaint is that they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. It would be a great way to start the week.
Gluten free and dairy free!. Everything we ordered here was fantastic! All the meats sauces and the 3 original sides are gluten and dairy free! The brisket and pulled pork were delicious and the baked beans were amazing! I would go back again just for the beans! The coffee sauce was really good as well.
Lunch for 15 to go. Had a meeting today where we picked up lunch for the group. Everything was just getting packed up when we arrived at the correct time. The food was excellent. I stuck to the brisket and it was some of the best I have had. The baked beans were definitely the best I’ve had (don’t tell mom) and the pickles were a nice touch. Next time I am in Medicine Hat I will be back!
Amazing!. If you like meat, thus is the place to go! Not to mention the amazing potato and Caesar salads they have! If you haven’t tried it yet go there nowwwww!
Smokinnnn. Great little out of the way spot. Smoked Pulled Pork, Smoked Sausage, Smoked Ribs fell off the bone and baked beans were all awesome. Will be back to try the chicken next time. Way better than trying to barbeque in the snow:)
